I would of just dropped the tank. Only got 2 strap holding it. By the time you do did to do this job. I’m already finished replacing the fuel pump. Take me 1.5 hours to replace the pump.
The big screws that hold the door latch look like Phillips, but they are JIS (Japan Industrial Standard). A Phillips screwdriver will not seat into the screw as deeply as may be needed. If the screws don't come out reasonably easily, consider getting a JIS screwdriver, or impact driver. It won't be cheap but if you strip the screw you will be wishing you had spent the money. I found that even after damaging a screw, a JIS impact driver removed it. Also, if you are replacing your first one door lock actuator, it won't be long until you are doing three more.
hey man, I hope you see this but I got a big question. I routed my belt the correct way but it seems like its gonna rub on the "steering head". Is this normal or am I missing a belt keeper/guide or something? I bought the mower off of someone and I'm having to put it together. I was hoping you'd show more of the layout of the belt/clutches. I'm using ereplacement parts for diagrams but it seems like I'm not missing anything BUT it doesn't sit right with me that the belt is SO CLOSE to the steering head.
thanks for your video , i thought it was a bad ground since it seams the headlights blink funny when i put the bulb in and instead of going under the car i might try to splice the ground at the turn signal and just ground it somewhere above and thanks again for your video
Wow! Thank you so much! I now know what they mean when they say old gas turns to varnish! When I emptied the bottom carb. bowl, and poured it into a cup, it smelled like varnish! I cleaned it all out with break cleaner, but the needles wouldn't unscrew, so I left them, sprayed up in there until break cleaner shot completely through, then closed it all up. I then put the choke on, turned on the valve, and ONE PULL, IT STARTED RIGHT UP! Gas won't be sitting in there from now on! Thank you again!!! You also have a new subscriber!
I thought about going to the tavern to get some help for cash, but I spent the money on a chain hoist, load leveler and chains that I could use to take it off and put it back on. I put a landscaping timber across a couple of joists in the garage to hang the gear. Now I can hoist other stuff, too!
my low speed jet screw was on so tight the screw head stripped. i had to take a dremel tool with a cutoff blade and cut a slot in the top of it so i could use a slotted screwdriver to get it off. it was pretty tight!
you got the size of the male adapter and reducer bushing? are they all about universal size. never done something like this but my hose has a hole and i want to replace it thanks
Thanks for the great instructions! I used wood dowlings of the same diameter instead of bolts to premount everything on, because I had a piece, and it worked fine.
Awesome video, I picked up a craftsman 3000 psi on side of road it ran great for an hour but when I tried to restart it it would not run,so I checked the float bowl and no gas in it so I took the carb off blew it out and Wala, started right up, I think the air filter clogged it up cause when I rinsed the filter off it desintegrated, just needs new filter now, thanks for the video , sub earned 👍👍
actually, this is Jane Rathbun. I'm working on a power smart mower. I enjoyed your video. This one has the same hard to pull problem. I've opened the valves but they are a different set up. I'm not super trained in this but enjoy working on them & have learned alot from you tube videos. I've already put a new carb on because it wouldn't restart when hot. With the new carb it sounds like it needs more air and I can't close air filter or it lugs down. It chugs a little while running but doesn't stall. But it is hard to start and rope pulls hard. I tried to regap the valves but unsure of what I'm doing.
Transax transplant I have a 30 y.o. Murray 11/36ic that was increasingly difficult to change gear. I acquired another transaxle 10 years ago, and seeing it has 10 years less use than my one so it must be in good or better condition...right? Put it on, and now the mower won't move forward or back. I see the drive belt is turning the rear pulley on the transax. Any ideas anyone...
I did a similar repair on an 06 Siena and I needed a loop. I took the straight nylon replacement hose and stuck it in boiling hot water that was in a cut off gallon milk jug. It worked great, no kinks.
I don't find it very difficult. Yes, there's a lot of gaskets, but I put a drop of super glue on adjacent parts which eliminates the amount of parts I have to juggle.
