What's interesting is that you put a stainless steel current collector between each stack. When I stack these types of batteries they get very hot and make lots of gas. Thank you!

Thank you for this impressive videos! In times of increasing electricty bills we need to learn the basics so we can eventually have alternative gadgets to power our homes.

Unfortunately this was discharging pretty quickly as seen near the 4:30 to 4:35 mark. As a long term solution, this isn't helpful but for emergencies, this can do some things I guess.

i dont know why i cant reach that amps , i just build for 8 cells its large than that and my results for each cells just 0.6V with very small amps like 1 or 5 mA .... iam using wire (copper wire) for + because if iam using alumunium on top that cannot work (the current not flow) also using table salt

Hello Yu, I really enjoyed this video. Well done. I'm almost 70yo. I hope I can figure out how all your experiments work. I'm watching many RU-vid videos about electrostatics at the moment. 🙂 Peter Nolan. Ph.D.(physics). Dublin. Ireland.

i think static electricity should be taken more seriously. it requires way less motion for a practical amount of power. i could be wrong though considering torque.

One problem though We saw that the aluminum pan oxidized throughout powering that LED flashlight for 10 hours straight right? This means that even if you aren't consuming or using the Al-Air battery, it will still oxidize/corrode no matter what.. But does your aluminum pan really corrode even if you don't use or consume your aluminum air battery?

I have used acacia gum,(also known as gum arabic or acacia senegal),applied to the aluminum anode that helps curtail oxide from forming. Thank you. Love your videos!

@daineramosquitco5816
@daineramosquitco5816 Год назад
This is a primary cell, meaning it can't be electrically recharged, the only way to replenish power is to replace the oxidized aluminum pan with a new one. Hope this helps.

This is fake. You're obviously using some strong base (like NaOH), or a high oxygen source (like a Peroxide) as electrolyte. Salt water will never produce 1.3V or so, maximum 0.7-0.8V. Tbe boost piece you used can't work without at least 0.9V. If you accept the challenge, pour some of that "salt water" to your hand and show us. 😂😂 Or show yourself actually mixing salt and water, then pouring it.
