I've just bought 2 bracelets from an African dude who's been collecting money for an African school. One of my friends explained how the beads are made and I wanted to see the whole process. It's really amazing.
I am marveled at the creativity and gorgeous art that is here. I just purchased a necklace and bracelet from you all. Thank you so much for your incredible gift of art. May God bless you and your loved ones
It’s always amazing to see culture being preserved for the next generations. Good work! It would be much appreciated when the safety precautions are taken keenly. How do I reach you privately. I might have a little proposal.
This is amazing since I always use recycled glass beads from Ghana, but I agree I think these workers should be provided with masks and better protection. Overtime that powdered glass will ruin their lungs.
Wonderful!!! no wonder these beads each have its very own character!!!Passing through so many diligent hands using the most basic of tools, each bead speaks for itself!!Now that is where I would love to work every day of my life , outside under some cover from the sun, along side equally lovely people working with their hands. No heavy machines, but created by hand. God bless each of those creative people, and each bead the make!
My sister your organization is wonderful ❤️. Please have the works place clothes or 😷 over the face to protect their lungs from inhaling powdered glass.
This is incredible work. Recycling and using Earth’s elements to create and clean the beads. Absolutely lovely! Can’t wait to visit Africa and see this up close.❤️❤️❤️
I am a bead maker and the lack of protection for the workers is alarming. The dust from the powdered glass will permanently damage your lungs, lovely beads but at what cost to your health.
Immediately shocking to anyone that works with glass! The investment (mold material) floats in the air and is like breathing ground glass. The powdered glass itself is also incredibly bad for lungs and eyes. Pounding those bottles into powder with no safety goggles or mask is crazy.
Please let me introduce myself,I’m your brother here living in America! I’d like to order some akoso beads for myself custom made & if satisfied I’ll do business wholesale if possible??
We have being making glass beads for thousands of years in Africa but why they don't make artisan glass windows for housing to diversify their activities? Are we so stuck in time?
