"we dont proctect our rolex" - because the rolex doesnt have the risk of falling on the floor, shattering the screen and rendering it useless...gezz...what a stu...video...
I’m a designer, appreciate the design but functionality should be part of the design process for a functional object. I started using a case when they started making them out of glass. It’s not comfortable to hold and it slips out the hand. I wouldn’t care about the superficial damage you mention but when your screen breaks and it costs a hundreds to repair, it’s a bit silly. My favourite iPhones were the first gen, second gen, and iPhone 5c. I’d love to see a more rugged iPhone. I’m not one polished steel and glass.
I know that I only represent myself with his opinion, but I don’t have any hipster style in me. Anything I have I want to look brand new as long as possible and keep it looking as nice as possible. That being said sometimes I don’t use a phone case it depends… but something aging with character is not a thing to me
I have the iPhone 12 since it came out. Never used a case nor a screen protector. It’s covered with tons of micro scratches front and back😂 also scuffed on the aluminum frame. It does not affect the view experience, never see those micro scratches unless I’m standing in bright sunlight. I never dropped it though, not even once. It feels so much better without a bulky case. I guess it depends how clumsy you are.
Rocking no case since the 3G, didn't resell any of the iPhones i got over the years and absolutely love the patina on them and the memories. Didn't drop any of them too badly, only relplaced the back panel on an iPhone 4 and got a crack on my X's screen but it's still very usable. Love the design.
The looks better without a case but it’s slippery making it hard to hold especially while laying done watching videos on it so it’s tough to decide on case or no case
If i go out for a large period of the day or work on my car/do outside activities, then ill slap a case on. If im at home all the time or do small grocery trips where i know i wont use my phone much (i have a galaxy watch 5 pro) then ill just leave it in my pocket. I USE my stuff, but i am not purposely careless. My son doesnt use my phone at all either, so i dont have any reason to be all stressed about it getting damaged. I think the good middle ground is to have a case or two ready in CASE you want to mix it up a bit, but i do appreciate the design of things better. A screen protector is more of a must due to the micro scratches caused by bits of sand, dust, stuff like that that end up in your pockets. I live in a hot desert region so you WILL get those abrasions on your screen. good video, solid quality. keep it up! I am sub number 650!
As a person, who switched back from a iPhone 12 pro max, to a s23u. I have to admit, that apples Produkt's always a dysign, that feels magic. But i would say no case is no option for the most. I instead took the money, to get a 90€ leather case for my s23U. Like without a Case my phone would be dead by now. And i think for the most ppl. that isn't much different.
Of course it's up to each person and probably you're right it doesn't make much difference for the most, which is part of my vids aims, drawing attention to the value of design.
I would say that phones propensity to being damaged is actually a design flaw. We should be able to use them without cases but they should be designed to withstand the use.
Totally agree with u mate, i live in uk and my apartment like most houses and apartments here have carpets so dropping a phone on carpet is same as dropping a phone is a case but better protection. I rarely use my phone on work and when i do always be sitting on a chair. I do go out every week with my family where i take photos and videos thats when u can say i could drop it but i never did cause i only use it for some time to take photos and videos, so putting a case on a beautiful phone for just few hours of protection doesn’t make sense. I have a iPhone 15 pro and a z flip 4
I just got a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and, despite trying some different cases, they all put some strain on my fingers when handling the phone. And I've ALWAYS had a case on every smartphone I've ever owned. This is the first time I'm actually thinking of going caseless with this one, because it actually handles pretty well without one. So long as I'm always careful when I have it out, it's a risk I'm willing to take. That and the warranty I purchased for it, just in case...no pun intended. lol
Well, I hope everyone looks out for my adaptation. At least ya'll can critique it, but I think it'll be marketable because it solves problems that all these other cases don't solve.

Not only do I totally agree, but you are totally right! There should be a type of protection for the phones, but it shouldn't conceal the design of the phone. I don't agree with the "looking used" part.
Great video and well said …. I usually use a case until about 2 months before the new phone is set to launch lol . I may consider no case going forward, life is short might as well enjoy the things we have how are made.
I really comprehend and know what you mean by showing the beauty of people's hard work but at the same time a lot of people can't afford to constantly go back in with their phones repaired cuz phone repairs are high nowadays
Well, I use my 15 pro Max without the case when I’m at home or same places that I know that it wouldn’t get a dangerous fall, but when I’m out I use a case because we never know jejejej
I go ceaseless. However I purchase a cheap Walmart case for when I do things like go hiking. Or to a rugged environment. However day to day I never use a case. It sits in my glove compartment like a concealed weapon 🤣
iPhone cases are, for better or worse, designed to be used with a case. Especially ever since the camera lenses are raised from the rest of the phone. You'll scratch your lenses in no time putting it down without a case.
I got a lot of comments like that so let me be make clear: It's not about using no case and buying a new one whenever it gets damaged. It´s about caring a lot about the phone so you don't need a case to prevent it from damage! 😎😉
I perfer cases because you can get a designed phone case, better grip, protection, and assossries with it. Also I've never cracked any of my android phones and now I'm gonna switch to the iphone 15's or wait for the 16s
Sure, if you prefer the look and feel of the case over the original design, that's perfectly fine 🎈Great that you switch to iPhone, just my opinion again: I'd wait for the 16 😬 ☀️
@@georeschen Ye I will because my Mum is buying me a phone and a mac book in November. Also do u know if it's gonna come out in New Zealand in September as well? Also is the iPhone 15 plus battery life gonna be better than the iPhone 16 plus? Because there's a 300mah difference and I thought that there changing the batteries.
Very well explained. I never put a screen protector on my phone and instead I clean my phone screen carefully everyday. There wasn’t any noticeable scratch after years of use on my previous iPhone. I’ve been using a case because it feels more stable and comfortable in hand with a leather case. But until changing to iPhone15 pro, I just can’t put a case on it anymore, it feels soo well in hand without any sharp angles.
yes yes, pay big money and leave it without protection. What a stupid idea for rich people who will buy another iphone when they destroy what they alredy have.
Dude, I said care a lot about the phone so you don't need any protection - no word 'bout destroying it cuz it doesn't matter. Stupid is to pay big money, put on protection and than believe that you no longer have to care 😉
I'm a welder and I like my iPhone to be in perfect condition, without a case it will get scratched in a few hours from raw metal surfaces and chips where I put it, I only remove the case on weekends and after hours
