thing is, cases do a great job protecting your phone but even in a case it can still break.. but you're less likely to break your phone while dropping with a case then without one. The couch example doesn't really make sence cuz your phone is used as a communication device that you take everwhere and is at high risk of damage, a better example would be a car.. .

A few thoughts after researching going this route. Breaking phones is a business - it’s beneficial to charge you for Apple care, screen repairs etc. and folks who buy these can easily afford repairs and insurance, it’s easy money for Apple they don’t have to design these things to be durable if they got you on the design train - ingenious actually. You don’t take your leather sofa or nice guitar camping, running, or to work where you use it as a functional tool nowadays.
@gurenplqys

it’s simple to take off and put on though, if i’m going to dinner, class, or whenever i don’t need a case. If im going to exercise or work i’ll obviously throw it in a case
@BG4life13
@BG4life13 Год назад
that doesn't really make sence because Apple sells cases for the iPhone which are extremely expensive.. if you have apple care screen repaires are cheaper then their cases Apple care is only 10$ a month for 2 years.. they make way more money selling their fancy leather cases. which people usually buy apple care with cases which is a scam in my opinion. just get apple care.

I understand and see your perspective on wanting to preserve the original design of the phone. For me I always view my phone as a resource and not an accessory to look at so I always like to put a case on it. For it it allows the device to be more personalized since iPhones are very common and a good case adds more durability to the phone which is important to me because not only is the phone fragile since it Made of glass but also expensive to repair the glass also. Anyway that my perspective always enjoy seeing and sharing what our different perspective is on this topic about cases.

As a person, who switched back from a iPhone 12 pro max, to a s23u. I have to admit, that apples Produkt's always a dysign, that feels magic. But i would say no case is no option for the most. I instead took the money, to get a 90€ leather case for my s23U. Like without a Case my phone would be dead by now. And i think for the most ppl. that isn't much different.
@georeschen

Of course it's up to each person and probably you're right it doesn't make much difference for the most, which is part of my vids aims, drawing attention to the value of design.

For Apple users, the trade in value is what offsets the high cost when they buy their next Apple device. Hence, going caseless is a nonstarter. It might make sense for older phones, particularly Android, because they tend not to be supported as long as Apple phones

If i go out for a large period of the day or work on my car/do outside activities, then ill slap a case on. If im at home all the time or do small grocery trips where i know i wont use my phone much (i have a galaxy watch 5 pro) then ill just leave it in my pocket. I USE my stuff, but i am not purposely careless. My son doesnt use my phone at all either, so i dont have any reason to be all stressed about it getting damaged. I think the good middle ground is to have a case or two ready in CASE you want to mix it up a bit, but i do appreciate the design of things better. A screen protector is more of a must due to the micro scratches caused by bits of sand, dust, stuff like that that end up in your pockets. I live in a hot desert region so you WILL get those abrasions on your screen. good video, solid quality. keep it up! I am sub number 650!

I rarely use my phone on work and when i do always be sitting on a chair. I do go out every week with my family where i take photos and videos thats when u can say i could drop it but i never did cause i only use it for some time to take photos and videos, so putting a case on a beautiful phone for just few hours of protection doesn’t make sense. Caseless 15 Pro Max user here. AppleCare + is my case. AppleCare Comes with the Apple Upgrade program. $29 for glass repair or $99 for overnight express replacement. That’s about the cost of what most people spend on a single case and some buy multiple cases. Cases get nasty and turn yellow etc. Not only that, but one thing that most people don’t realize is the majority of iPhones that come into the Apple Store for glass repair were broken while in a case. If it’s gonna break it’s gonna break. Get AppleCare + and enjoy your phone as it was designed. I didn’t buy a $1,400 phone to wrap it in plastic or rubber 😂

I just started this no case thing today. I’ve always appreciated the beauty of the iPhones only to slap a case on them right away. I dropped my new SE in the toilet earlier (yes it works fine - I just vacuumed the openings for a few minutes) and decided to go the day without the case while I soak it in some bleach water…even the silicone cases get scuzzy looking after a while and I hate it. But I’ve been having so much fun using my phone naked, so I looked up if there were any other crazy people out there. I love looking at my phone for the first time since I unboxed it, and it feels great in my hand and the screen feels more responsive without the protector. And I’ve seen through many videos how durable the new iPhones are. I can definitely vouch for the water resistance! The last great(in my eyes) phone I had was a Motorola G7 Power back in 2010. That fell in the toilet and did not make it out alive so naturally I had a mini stroke as I cleaned and dried my SE. Anyway, great content as always. You’ve inspired me to keep the natural look for now 🤩👊

Very well explained. I never put a screen protector on my phone and instead I clean my phone screen carefully everyday. There wasn’t any noticeable scratch after years of use on my previous iPhone. I’ve been using a case because it feels more stable and comfortable in hand with a leather case. But until changing to iPhone15 pro, I just can’t put a case on it anymore, it feels soo well in hand without any sharp angles.

And I've ALWAYS had a case on every smartphone I've ever owned. This is the first time I'm actually thinking of going caseless with this one, because it actually handles pretty well without one. As someone who is contemplating... On whether or not to get a case myself, I find that you just need to become hyper aware of your phone's surroundings. For example, never putting your case less phone in your pocket with keys or coins. In addition, you need to be aware what surface you're putting your phone on... Because it might be dirty or worse yet... Slippery and on a slope. If you folks have the mental capacity to do that... That's fine. But as a dad, I can't have that undivided and focused attention on my phone (aka tool) for too long. Putting a case on your phone isn't to to make it ugly, but rather to make it life proof.

I Totally don’t agree with you there is why the phone is incredibly slippery so when it comes to protection here I recommend using a case especially here the phone is expensive. 2.Touch feeling is good by not comfortable for 15 minutes and above and when compare it to a case like Caudabe Sheath for example it way better touch feeling and makes phone grip much easier. It’s shape edges make it hard to using the phone for good periods of time like gaming for example 3.The fingerprints on the fame of the phone without a case looks terrible and make your phone looks dirty. Finaly the high quality phone case makes your phone looks cleaner and prevents fingerprints So Here is the reason why you should use a high quality iphone case 1.Protection. 2.Touch Feeling. 3.Better Grip. 4.Comfortable. 5.Looks Clean. Let Me Know If Is There Any Other Advantages Of Using High Quality IPhone Case.

Yeah I miss my Nexus 5 which was the last phone I had with a matte back. So easy to go caseless with that. Afterwards I got a Pixel and needed a case as it was like a slippery eel. Then I had an iPhone SE which I rocked without a case - I think the small size and flat edges helped with grip. My iPhone 8 was back to smooth rounded crap so needed a case. Now I’m undecided with the 13 which I just got delivered today. It’s got flat edges but it’s bigger than the SE 1 so I’m less confident, plus I paid more for it.

my girlfriend thinks i’m crazy for not using a case, and i always tell her how these phones are expensive due to the materials, designs, logos, etc. why cover them in plastic? i also think things with dings and scuffs are more aesthetically pleasing, as imperfections give things character. also, phone cases don’t totally protect our devices. i had a note 5 in a case. it fell less than two feet face down on the lip of the case. the screen didn’t break, but the oled panel was destroyed 🤷🏾‍♂️

Really good points you made and I seriously start considering going caseless. I've had my Galaxy S8 for 7 years now, when I bought it, I didn't unbox it until the Spigen case arrived. 😅 Barely left the case since then. Apart from some wear around the charging port and the camera edges, the screen and back are in immaculate condition. Pulled it out of the case a couple of days ago, and I wondered, how actually I never appreciated the design and sleek feel and look. The glass back which reflects so nice. How beautifully crafted the curved screen is.( and we're talking about an old ass phone). All in all, I'm considering going caseless for now and the next phone I upgrade. I think I've dropped my S8 not more than 10 times since I've owned it, so it's fair to say I'm pretty careful with my device. Anyway, great insight. Just like you said, what's the point of buying a nice leather sofa, and then wrapping it in plastic foil? Plastic foil which, invariably, you'll change quite often.

I remember being 19 with my first smartphone, and my dad pestered me to start using a phone case, immediately. Thing is, I loved the look and feel of my phone so much, and I figured ‘hey, I’ll never drop it.’ And put it off for like two weeks. Well one day I was listening to music, and bumped into someone on my way to class, a building over. I had to swallow my heart back down after barely breaking its fall onto hard asphalt. The thing was a small iPhone 4 like yours, and while the all black glass casing was dope, was real slippery. Next spirit week, I managed to find probably the only collegiate case for its size, and a paper thin screen protector. I never looked back😅. Every phone I buy stays suited and booted now.

i never liked phone cases, but my first couple phones were cheap android tracfones. one day i got promoted to the family plan and got a budget galaxy (samsung galaxy j7 i believe). it was the most expensive and quality phone i ever had. my old phones would barely even get a scratch when i dropped them but they were built like bricks. but one day, only a few weeks after i got the new phone, i was about to leave with my family to go somewhere and i picked up a basketball to get a quick layup in before i hopped in the car. that one decision traumatized me cuz before my feet hit the ground, my phone did, and the screen was shattered to the point where i could no longer use it. ever since that day i've been using tempered glass screen protectors and clear phone cases. even right now, i have a iphone se with a cracked screen protector. i replace the screen protector once a yr, as well as the case since it gets discolored over time, but i came to the conclusion that i'll just never be able to use a phone without a case. like i replaced the screen protector earlier this yr and cracked this new one less than a month later 🤦🏾‍♂😂

I used a Spigen Tough Armor on my LG G8 which added something like 50g of weight and it was overkill. It added so much bulk! But the phone itself was literally unusable without a case since it was super slippery. If the surface wasn't 100% flat, it would find a way to slip off.

Definitely don't have the expendable income to not have a protective case. If it breaks I won't be able to have another easily Edit: I don't agree with the examples used. An expensive phone in incomparable to so sofa and very much more fragile. All it takes is a single drop to have a cracked screen and unusable device. Like I mentioned before, if it breaks it's not gonna be the same experience for everyone. While you may able to go easily spend money on a repair or even a new phone, many people can't. Hey. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us. I recently treated myself to an iPhone 15 and I'm also thinking all the time, do I put it in a case, yes or no? And actually I want it to look new for a long time, no scratches and quirks. But it's like you say: It's a product where many people have worked on it, who have worked thousands of hours on the design, feel and look and in the end this great product ends up in a chunky case that hides all this work and design. What surprised me in the end: Did I hear "Tschüss und bye bye" in the last sentences? Oh, in the video, the location is tagged as Graz in Austria =) Viele Grüße aus Deutschland =)
