Seeing him running through tackles and making so many people miss, I just have to laugh at the people who say he would've been ordinary if he didn't have a great offensive line.
Who made this video.. Im from Louisville I remember this. Its Ironic who I talked to yesterday so close to the Anniversary. It was a tragedy, but a lot of good came of it and I am watching this so many years later to the day he was in the hospital. R.I.P. Never Forgotten.
Emmitt Smith was the high school player of the year and broke all the Florida Gator records a consensus All American before his Hall of Fame professional career had a great head coach in Jimmy Johnson that made his star players and team better each year from the ground up remember Dallas was just 1 and 15 and coach built the Cowboys with trades draft picks and just flat out great coaching so the only thing I don't understand is why is it even a debate to some when Enmitt is being called the best or one of greatest and he also was first class off the field how come they make excuses how come they can't just respect the truth Emmitt Smith was the most complete back of all time other than probably Walter Payton easily
Like u said. Florida high school player of the year. Over 8,000 yards. In 3 years broke all Florida gators records. Jerry Jones said his production high school . college was unbelievable. Now over 18,000 yards.
As an Aussie i admire these hits. They are explosive. But can any kind Yank tell me how many are legal in the modern American game. We had a hit in Australian football called a hip and shoulder which was a side on hit . Many of these hits would kill in the Australian game and would be illegal anyway as we dont have the protection. I know most sports are not as brutal as they were with concussion being a massive issue for contact sports. Love seeing gridiron players spin in the air. Does that shit happen anymore.
of course the players stats weren't pretty back then. How can you put up numbers like Brady when the league actually allowed to play defense!😂 I mean, I don't hate Brady, but people should never compare numbers of today's QBs and QBs from at least 30 years ago. It's just too unfair.
My friend just compared Elliot to smith. This is absolutely ridiculous. Zeke has no where near the talent of smith. Smith could turn nothing into a home run all the time. Zeke hasn't done any of that
Met Him in person when I use to work for a Home Theater Company back in 95. I was only a helper then and didn't know I was in Emmitt Smith House. Very Humble person!
I wonder what Barry sanders be like behind that o line...Prolly UNSTOPPABLE. smith was Prolly the #5 best running back all time.he carried the ball a lot compare to sanders and payton
you should look up how great those lineman were in the 80's. coincidentally none o them made the pro bowl until 92' after emmitt put up 2 rushing titles.
+Eric Ramos I was replying to the OP commenting about emmitt's oline, how nobody knew who they were for 8 years until emmitt was drafted and started putting up rushing titles
figured that. emmitt was a boss! even early on in his career, we realists were so very thankful that he was a cowboy. talent-wise, he wins my award for greatest cowboy in the 38 years that i have been a fan.
God I miss watching him play. I remember watching the Seahawks game when he broke the record. Amazing athlete, and one of the main reasons I became a Cowboys fan.
Yeah, back when our favorite players gave themselves irreparable brain damage and destroyed their bodies for our entertainment, smh. These athletes are soft, wanting to be able to string sentences together without drooling on themselves after retiring
