4 bucks for a 50 cent meal. Lol. .Your partner should be looking after you, not letting you get ripped off. Obviously doesn't care that you are paying over the local price.
🙏🙏🙏 You are one of the original, genuine youtube vloggers from years ago in Thailand. Please keep it up !!!! - please don't let these newbys (gary butler etc.) think they have experienced more than you. I lived there for many years ago from 2001, as a backpacker and truly believe you have more genuine integrity than the rest 👌🤝👍. Thank you.
Another fantastic video Darren. All the food and sweets looked so delicious, however I can’t go past those durian crepe things you polished off. They looked totally amazing. Hope you are well mate. Cheers from all of us here in Perth. 😋😋😋
Khanom Tokyo is new to me 🤩 Any reason for the webbing pattern on one end (1:30) or just cosmetic? This chap looks like he's wondering how much to charge you (7:57) Dual pricing? 😅 Nice video! 👍
Just arrived at your channel today and loving the videos! Congratulations and thank you for sharing great information. Could you please tell me if I can find these same foods in Krabi? Thanks.
Thank you, and welcome. Some of these dishes are reasonably common and you could find them in Krabi, but many of the dishes in this video are Trang specialties. I've lived in Krabi for 12 and a half years and I've never seen them here. The ones you could find in Krabi are, from the 1st restaurant, Seefar, nam graduk on - fermented soft pork ribs and kai jeow - Thai omelet (virtually every restaurant in Thailand has versions of this available). From the second restaurant, Sin Jiew, dim sum and patongo. There are a number of dim sum restaurants in Krabi, but the restaurant in the video is open at night. To the best of my knowledge there are currently no night time dim sum restaurants in Krabi, they are all closed by 3pm, and most of them are only open in the morning. From the 3rd restaurant, Richy Bakery and Restaurant, kai tun - steamed egg and gai tom kamin - chicken soup with tumeric. I hope that helps.
Hi, these prices especially for the seafood seem high. I've seen in your other videos you've negotiated down. Were the prices you listed starting prices or the price you settled on after you negotiated? I noticed you didn't include footage of you negotiating like you normally do.
Darren I have missed your channel for quite sometime !!! I watched you religiously 3 years ago and then you stopped making videos 🥲 I'm glad I revisited your channel to see your new uploads. Hi to Aorn and Ananda - Hugs from Houston
Well I have lived in Thailand nearly 18 years and never have heard people from Phuket as Phuketien😮......this is my first time watching your channel,is this part of your script😂🎉❤...😊
Thanks 😊. If you do a Google search for "Phuketian" you'll see there are many instances of the word's usage in a number of different contexts, the common link being that they are referring to things originating in Phuket. Thanks for watching and commenting 😊🙏
