i hope everything goes well and that you recover soon <3. i just wanted to quickly talk about how concerning it is that she only got help when she went to america, since even from personal experience i have noticed that in australia (especially adelaide), there is a more carefree attitude towards things, which can potentially be life threatening (thankfully for me my instances with tehse sorts of experiences have not been medical related).

Those “medical professionals” deserve every law suit and action you throw their way. Absolutely disgusting utterly negligent behaviour. I have been on horse riding trips like the one you described. I’m a confident rider, but on this one trek I was on it was like the horse was entirely switched off. It’s obviously not the horses fault, animals do what they do, but the business model they operate under put you in a situation you should never have had to be in. As someone who has broken and dislocated her shoulder riding horses to then be told to walk it off, this type of medical negligence, especially towards young women, is not uncommon in this industry. I would deeply encourage you to leave a public review if you haven’t done so already.
I survived a pulmonary embolism twice in 2017 and 2018. I haven't had PTE surgery but the Facebook board I mentioned can connect you to many who have had the surgery, probably in Australia too.

Absolutely sick of the Australian medical “professionals “ we have. Yes there are brilliant people out there who make us feel seen and have saved lives. But there are way more who are so dismissive and ignorant. It’s genuinely disgusting. And then when WE have to research and request tests because they’re stupid, they brush it off as us being paranoid or anxious.
