GOING ON A CRUISE SOLO | ROYAL CARIBBEAN QUANTUM OF THE SEAS | South Pacific ft. Cyclone 

I took my first solo cruise on RC Serenade of the Seas at 61 years old. Stepped waaaay out of my comfort zone. Proud of you!

Hey. I started cruising at the end of 2021 to make up for the lost time during the pandemic. Ive made it my mission to try as many of different cruise lines in Europe at least once. 4 down, a few more to go. Appreciate your enthusiasm to get out there and explore the world, even when things don't always go to plan. I had that moment a few years back and haven't looked back since. I too landed a great job which is allowing me the flexibility and the finances to travel several times a year. I'm currently on a 3.5 week solo trip through the Arabian Gulf and Thailand. The only person stopping you from living the life you want is you. So get out there and live it! Even if this one didn't pan out exactly how you hoped, wishing you the best of luck with the future adventures.

Been cruising solo on Royal Caribbean for 2 years now alone. Turned 30 today. Will be celebrating on April 23rd 2023 on anthem of the seas. Also have 2 more solo cruises later this year booked. 🎉

Paris you are a legend going solo. My friend and I were on ovation and cyclone Gabriel changed our itinerary too. Well done being so positive. Keep up the vlogs just slow down a little for us oldies but love your enthusiasm ❤️

5:45 aaaahhh my favourite part of the ship - the solarium pool and i love the fact that they bring drinks to you while you are in the spa

I went on that same royal caribbean ship the day that same day you got off, I actually would have loved the change to tasmania but we went as per the itinerary. I didn't get off at mystery Island, too hot and no shade, so I made full use of the pools spa and the pool bar- gombay smash, mango pina colada, mudslide😋 then of course windjammer breakfast, and vintages for a chill out nightcap. But glad you enjoyed it anyhow.

I was on Ovation of the Seas leaving Sydney around the same time you were on Quantum. Our boat made it to New Caledonia but Mystery Island and Port Villa were cancelled due to a cyclone. We still had a great time even with the changes

We were on this cruise too. Quantum is my dream ship as well. Think we might have even seen you a few times. Wish I'd known you were travelling solo, would have stopped to say hello and invited you to one of our parties (we had 44 randoms at one- some through personal invites others through invitations we hid around the ship) . Was pretty bummed out about the change in itinerary too but having spent a fortune on this sailing for the Royal Loft Suite we didn't want to cancel at the last minute (apparently 200 people chose not to board at the terminal and were given a full refund). Still made the best of it and I agree the production shows were amazing especially Starwater. Loved it so much we had breakfast arranged with some of the cast in 270 and then went back to watch the show on the final night. If you went for the magician/comedian show on the last night after Starwater I was the guy in the cupid outfit that John the cruise director made stand up in front of the whole crowd which was hilariously embarrassing.

Sorry to hear about the Itinerary change, it looks like it's a fantastic ship. I can not wait to my cruise to Fiji in July, hopefully you get lucky on the next one.

Same cruise. Hobart was different. First time to Sydney. At least we all missed cyclone. Different cruise line went to tangaloma(Morton island ) for a couple of days. We are back on Quantum today for another cruise.

I might have been on that cruise too. Despite the fact we weren't going to the south pacific Islands because of the cyclone, didn't take away from the fact that we we're still cruising.

Cyclones are a common risk on Pacific cruises between Dec and feb

My grandma was born in Brisbane almost 80 years ago but hasn't been back since she moved at 3 to US

Love the vids Paris! I was actually on the cruise going through the cyclone from Syd so I decided to fly home early from New Caledonia as the boat was literally going through the cyclone on the way back LMAOOO. Solo traveling is a vibe!!

Omg I went on the exact same cruise over new years to the South Pacific and we skipped mystery island but ughh that is so annoying! Hopefully third time is the charm

I would have gotten a refund if my cruise to the South Pacific was canceled and reverted to somewhere I did not want to go. Your travel insurance should have covered it.

Royal Caribbean cruises is a step up from P&O Australia cruises.

I was on Ovation a month ago and absolutely loved every minute of it until covid got me on the last day out of sea and got off extremely ill 😭😂

Hey paris we just did a RC to NZ on ovation from syd and its not really aplace to find a partner, carnival would be better for you. My 21 y old son is jealous because come oct we are flying to hawaii and sailing on ovation back to syd,but he needs to be with his agegroop,as he is single as well.. sorry about your cruise,RC is just being safe .
