@pocketpriorities “Variety is the spice of knife…”
Channel dedicated to knives and the EDC (every day carry) of a practical, modern dad that doesn't always wear pants (don't worry, I still wear shorts). From my first SAK to eventual knife collector. Please check out the "Priority Score" in the video Description.

Love the video Dan! And thanks for passing up on that Saga on Facebook I did actually end up snagging it and am super happy with it already wrote about 5 pages worth of notes today lol
The Saga is a great pen. Pricey, yes, but bulletproof. I carry one for EDC most of the time and it has never once failed to deploy or retract. The mechanism, if I recall, is designed to be kind of like a quick release air fitting from a compressor, which I thought was a fun idea. They make a shorty tube now as well, so if you want ultra-compact pocket carry you can swap to that.
I also recently got a Saga - been hunting one at a palatable price forever. I haven’t spent a lot of time using yet bc promptly went on vacation after receiving but I think it’s going to replace the SPP zirc as my go-to. Kinda funny, I did the exact same thing as you did trying to close the pen 😂
@@FrogFishLeezerd everything on there was either from this group, or something I got prior to this, I do have a few out for custom finishes as well but that’s the only thing more recent. Cheers 🍻
"Daniel Osbourne if youre watching right now." 😂😅Sorry ro burst your bubble but i reallllly doubt hes watching you fondle fake toy versions of his knife.
Mine just arrived today. My wife signed for the package but I was able to rescue it. I love it! I went for the plain Ti diamond pattern with stonewashed blade. Mine drops shut.
@@pocketprioritiesYes, if I push the lock bar far enough it will drop onto my thumbnail. In practice though, I don’t do this. I prefer to get my digit out of the way and either shake it shut or just push the blade home. For me, drop shuttiness is only desirable with finger-safe lock designs.
Fantastic! I have one of these ordered as well. I'm away for a trip now, but it should be waiting for me when I get back! Thanks for the closer look :)
@@4Sandrix I’m pretty sure this is an insult but given it’s not a coherent sentence, nor do you give context on what you found to be a display of underwhelming intelligence, I’m just going to take it as constructive feedback to “be brighter”. 🫡
Any chance on an update video of the Sonora? I really value your input on higher end knives as you seem to collect and enjoy some of my favorite knives. Thank you!
@@bryancbailey excellent so far but I can’t say I’ve fully tested them with hard use, just typical opening packages, cutting string, tape, hard plastic tool packaging, etc.
Didn't even notice the gun/rifle aesthetics until I went to the site to check them out(the box shape is supposed to mimic a suppressor/silencer for a firearm). Pretty neat, should have caught on when it was called the "Bolt-action Pen." They even have a pen tip that's called "Suppressor" that kinda mimics those old-school heat guards for barrels/suppressors. Neat idea over all. I bet it won't be long until he comes out with those metal tips that write like lead.
i had the grail 20.5 3v textured titanium but sold it. what i didn't like 1) heavy -- no weight relief 2) blade looked cool but was thick and un-slicey. i do like longer, lighter knives tho
