My yard here in NSW Australia I have 6 crepe myrtles ,absolutely beautiful flowers in the summer . I also have beehives and the bees love the crepe myrtles they are very busy collecting all that lovely pollen and nectar so if anyone has bees plant some of these they flower for a long time over summer and keeps the bees happy.

Japanese forest grass is called "Fuchi grass" in Japan. There are three types of them: golden leaves, white spots, and green. The wind grass in your garden is big, very splendid and wonderful. "Fuchi grass" means grass that knows the wind. Thank you for the video. I will use it as a reference for planting in the shade.

These are some great options. Irish moss is actually not a true moss and does best in at least part sun (although afternoon shade in hot climes is best). Ajuga is versatile in its light requirements. It can grow in full sun as well as shade.

Hi, a question on Cat Mint. Does that grow like the herb mint plant? Will the cat mint become invasive if planted in the ground?
@GardenStylenw

@amysewz No, it forms a clump instead.

Hi, Debbie: Your new flower recommendations are great! I especially like the Dream Dazzler and the Rose Marvel Salvia. Actually, they would go nicely together! I'm volunteering with a local organization and buying some plants for them and installing them to improve the curb appeal. Since I'm donating my time and the plants, I want to be sure I can find things that are sure to survive! and take the heat of the summer. These two hit the mark just right!! Thanks again and can't wait to meet your Mom!

You have a lot on your plate, so thanks for this excellent look at these new plants. You are right, the salvia is a showstopper. Wondering how deer resistant it is, as some of the modern cultivars are reported to be more palatable to our lovely wildlife!

Thank you thank you for the information of beautiful plants. May I ask: I have Provine Winners Heart to Heart Caladium. The leaves are beautiful but they started to bloom a white flower with seeds like a peace lilly. Should I cut the flower so the caladium focuses on leaves, not seeds. Thank you for your help
