I'll be honest; this video is very confusing. The point of the video is that your CLBC is very productive, yet I see no figs or figlets. Yes, you said it was, but I didn't see it. You should have waited for the fig to develop and swell, it would have been easy to see and compare to other varieties.
Gosh darn it. I just got into figs. One reason is because I was growing raspberries and there is a relatively new fly affecting them too with worms in the fruit: Spotted Wing Drosophila (SWD). They haven't messed with my blackberries yet thank goodness.

As a fig farmer this is the most disgusting creature I have ever seen. Im ok with fig beetles but the fact that BFF deposits eggs in the bellybutton of the fig is disgusting. Its no coincidence that satan himself is tied to flys. He is as disgusting as These tiny flies and when you open a ripened fig and find it full of maggots , well. Thats all u need to ruin a day. The BFF was never a California thing. Now it is….
Please help. I have over 100 trees that looked healthy a week ago now they are all in trouble. It is the upper most leaves of all my trees (they look worse than the leaves you show in your video) that seen to be most effected. Im sick over what's happening. Please describe exactly how I can save my trees this year.

I have a very young one and can’t find much online about size and vigor. I’m trying to lay out my orchard of 20 in ground figs with the small one’s in the front (south) taller in the back. You mentioned you have a couple in ground. Thoughts? For context I’m thinking Smith, RDB,BM, CDDB as being small ish, Scott’s Black being large ish…. Just trying to maximize sunlight. I know I can always keep them pruned to size but I’m getting old haha
Excellent find! I love living here in California, everywhere you look there's fig trees! I keep finding wild fig trees on Google street view, some with syconia in June, some without, all less than a thirty minutes drive from where I live. I count seven groves of what look to be seedlings just in one day of looking, and I'm not counting ones already discovered and labelled by legends like Brian Melton and David Burke.
Hello from Fla. Wow great variety u have there. I have been growing figs for about 5 yrs now in Fla . love eating fresh figs . I only have about 30 varieties . It's really hot now in Fla and all my figs tree are also waking up and looking green as it should 😃TY 4 sharing
Can you do a video on how you prune your trees and how you keep them at a lower height in your containers? Also...what do you use for fertilizer? Your trees are loaded with fruits.
