Excellent find! I love living here in California, everywhere you look there's fig trees! I keep finding wild fig trees on Google street view, some with syconia in June, some without, all less than a thirty minutes drive from where I live. I count seven groves of what look to be seedlings just in one day of looking, and I'm not counting ones already discovered and labelled by legends like Brian Melton and David Burke.
Love it! Please be careful when crawling around looking for those trees, we wouldn't want you to pop up in the local headlines, "Intrepid fig explorer bit by snake while searching for figs!"
Unfortunately, it is too early to tell if any will be any good. I did check several trees and found some that were female. I will try to get back down there in a couple of months to update
