This is my Bighorn pizza oven. For ages I wanted a rotating pizza stone to make life easier for myself as what I find is although the oven works well it doesn't retain heat inside if you keep on opening the door to rotate the pizza. This was more the issue and it was very difficult to get the oven back to a high temperature even with loads of pellets inside and having the fan going behind the pellet tray. I tried someone else's idea of using a rotisserie fork kit by bending the fork to make it flat as possible but that didn't work very well as pizza stone would be too high with the short space with the height inside to place pizza in and out. In the end I saw the rotating kit known as Oonihack by chance and got in touch with the seller. After checking all internal measurements of the oven inside I took a gamble and ordered what I thought would be the right kit which was more suitable and designed for the Ooni ovens but this particular one did the perfect job. Yes it requires to drill 5 holes under the oven to fit the motor but it's straight forward for the occasional DIYer as long as you get the main centre hole correct so that the turntable inside will not catch the edges or the pellet fire extractor at the back then you will be fine. These Bighorn ovens are not as popular as the Ooni ones in the UK but if you know how to use it after so many attempts like myself then the rotating pizza stone afterwards will make your pizza cooking experience easier and enjoyable 😊 The model name for the particular one I fitted is called VV-12 as that is the only one that would be suitable for the bighorn and you can use a 30cm (12") round stone. I've tried both 11" & 12" but 12" is the perfect maximum size to rotate. Anything else would be too big. Actual link to which rotating turntable I am using is below: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8gfidRPUMGI.htmlfeature=shared
the turn table above indeed can be used by all OONi and its clones. It even does not need any installing. simply assemble and put it inside your oven. The motor is 12 VDC. 3 pieces of battery 18650 can drive the motor for over 3 days! geart for outdoor camping party.
@@user-jr9wp3fs3k I'm assuming you are replicating the Neapolitan style pizza, which the cooking time is only of 60 seconds to 90 seconds, and I have seen that inside the oven they only turn the pizza once. Therefore my calculation is of 0.66 rpm.
It is over a few years. A few commercial users are posting video and picture from time to time on facebook. So it works and users are satified. Your doubt is wrong. There is not the problem you are dreaming of
@@ya00007 please search Facebook by group name of '"OONi Hack". Many buyers post video and picture there. I can not give you link, or my reply will be deleted by youtube
Unneeded equipment. What's the hype with having a pizza rotor added to an Ooni pizza oven and wasting money. Just rotate the pizza manually a couple of times inside the oven and it's fun. The pizza in an Ooni oven takes less than 90 seconds to be done. It takes more time to set up the rotator than rotate the pizza manually with a pizza peel.
Reçu à Lyon en 15 j . Montage robuste pour la partie mécanique . Pour la partie électrique on verra à l'usage , mais composants faciles à trouver et remplacer si nécessaire.
I have just thought of a turning pizza ceramic stone. Just get a hoop of steel and a tub of ceramic balls that you use in pie baking. Put the balls loose in the hoop thats just slightly lower than the height of the balls then place the circular pizza stone on top. Then get a slightly larger diameter hoop to contain the pizza stone. You can then score the edge of pizza stone with an angle grinder so you can grip the edges for turning your pizza in a small gas powered ooni type oven
