I just started the couch to 5km, I'm 3 weeks in and really struggling, but every time I see your videos about you running they keep encouraging me to keep going and giving me something to aim towards. <3 so thank you
Hello Monica, How are you? Wonderful London diaries video here! I'm glad you did your marathon on the beautiful streets of London's West End & even along Liverpool Street Station, too! Thanks for sharing, and have a wonderful, Happy Sunday! ❤
Not sure I 100% agree. Whitechapel is great transport wise but very dirty. Victoria Park is huge and visitedby locals alot. Great if you like the Indian restaurants on Brick Lane. I personally dont feel very safe on the little streets at night
Hi Monica, thank you for the info. How did you solve the visa gap issue? I have the similar issue... I got my YMS visa but it won't be activated until a few weeks later... do I still have the right to rent now?
Heyy so my agency made we wait to sign the tenancy until it got approved. I think you might have to wait as well to officially sign the tenancy, but check with the agency! I think it might be more lax if you're going direct to an landlord.
@@MonicaXGuan Thank you Monica. I'm lucky that I got a job offer before going to the UK but now have more problems like I don't have BRP or NI or right to rent...
Loved this one, can you do a quick run through of your running gear, I am always confused of where to store the phone, keys and loved the one you had for water
I have the saloman vest I use in my amazon storefront but it's literally the best! Have so many pockets at the front. My phone and keys fit there and there's also a small back pack at the back where I pack some extra clothes if I'm running to work.
Evening Monica I love watching your London diaries video vlogs here! Too bad the flight prices are so expensive to deal with a day to day basics like some air flights could cost up to £500 to £800 which is so bloody insane! Hope you have a wonderful time over in China for your Birthday 🎉❤
Love your London videos! I know you're Canadian but any tips for Americans trying to find a job that sponsors? Just recently graduated college and I have 1 year of marketing experience but so far no luck!
aw ya honestly the market is just in general so tough at the moment! I will try to make a more detailed video about the process but I also have one already on my channel about my experience if you're interested.

I really love your videos Monica, they give me such a chilled vibe and I really enjoy your recommendations around London. 🙏 Sending you love, please keep it going 🫶
4:50 Does it mean that if I move to the UK with skilled worker visa, I will have to pay 6 months upfront? Or having a new job will be considered as a job and I will have to pay only 5 weeks upfront? Thanks for video, it's really useful!
I have now moved to my new strategy when it comes to living in London cheaply. And that is to find a girl who owns a place in London and make her fall in love with me 😂 Tired of renting 🥵
My advice on how to rent a flat here in London England 🏴 is don't spend much on things you don't need! Always keep an eye out on affordable things rather than expensive stuff! Also, save money inside a bank account & take out a little bit of money!
@@MonicaXGuan omg yesss can we get some tips on how you managed to find a company that sponsored your visa? where you searched, interview stages, what questions they ask you, and how many years of experience did you have professionally?
Hope this is helpful and let me know if you have any questions! 🤗 If you want to sign up for my new newsletter that I mentioned, subscribe here on Substack! I'm still figuring it out, but I think I'll be going deeper into specific questions I get from my RU-vid, sharing my London recommendations, details of my travels, and more. - monicaxguan.substack.com/subscribe
Your makeup is PERFECT. You’re so pretty! For me, I’m fine with London because I like clouds and rain. People call that bad weather and to me, that’s perfect weather. If you’re cool with rain, if you’re a trust fund baby/Powerball winner, and you’re willing to put yourself out there to meet people, you’ll do fine.
I think it is so bad they don't allow laptops at weekends! Like fine, don't have the business then 🤷♀ I think the policy also discriminates against solo diners too who might prefer to have something to do if every other table is couples/groups at the weekend.
Thanks for sharing this updated budget for London in 2024. Just curious does the budget above include insurance costs? Feel like that could easily be another GBP100+ per mo? Asking as a Sydney sider who is planning to move to London for work by year end 2024. Thanks!
hmm what do you mean insurance? like health insurance? If so, you pay it up front as part of your visa cost! I don't pay for any insurance month on month.
🏘 Thanks Monica! Was a really helpful video considering I have confirmed with work to relocate at end of 2024. So getting a good broad sense of zones 1/2 was helpful ahead of move.
