I enjoyed an hour or so in Thomas Connolly's a month ago. Their locally brewed red ale was wonderful, and the music that night was good too. Excellent bar if you're a whiskey aficionado (I am not)... extensive collection of fine whiskeys. I went back the next night but couldn't squeeze into the back door due to a very popular musician playing and his adoring women admirers!
He’s just had to pay £6,500 for saying “we don't serve Protestants; only joking, no, I'm not." … this is not a bar to frequent for everyone despite the light hearted interview .
