I found Dr Anyieth's autobiographical book an engrossing read in understanding what was behind the dogwhistle reporting of "African gang violence" in Melbourne a few years back. Her personal story is illuminating, one I found very helpful in understanding how she was able to survive and transcend difficult circumstances laced with racism, and ethnic and domestic violence to become the renowned advocate and scholar she has become. Sheer guts and determination!

Roggeveen's suggestion of making Indonesia an ally is fantasy because Indonesia is no more willing to accept US "rules-based order" than China, and the Anglosphere powers wouldn't accept great powers that wouldn't bend knee to US primacy. Indonesia is also a greater threat to Australian security due to 9x greater population, physical proximity, and increasing Islamist ethos.
