My name is Angie Nelson. There was a time where I was right where you may be now. I’d had enough of the cubicle farm, and I was going to find a way to escape. I started a hunt to learn how to make money from home legitimately and for the long run. I read and researched and read some more and finally made the leap. I started working from home full-time in 2007 - eleven years ago now!
After receiving a number of emails from people each week asking me how they could work from home too, I started blogging about my journey as a one-stop shop for those seeking help.

How do you find legit work from home jobs I have years of customer service experience but I can't find anything as far as work at home customer service
Paying every week isnt just a question of waiting. Its also, many of such firms may be shady. Or you suspect they may be shady. So you dont want to work for them a whole money, and get robbed, or perhaps get only half a pay. But a week, you can try... You cut the potential losses by 3/4...
I had a customer service remote job. The training was 2wks. Oh boy i was in for a huge surprise. I was hired as a remote customer service rep. But all the training was about billing. They first said that we're going to get paid 17 for being Bilingual. Then it got bumped down to $14 because $17 is only for night workers. I still stayed only because it was remote. Then I find out we get inbound calls that we do not answer ourselves. Meaning we are already on the line when a customer calls. And we'd have to be very close to our computers the whole 8hr shift. Since when a customer calls we have to asap look up their info on the computer. Which left me for no time to make dinner or anything. I worked the 930 to 6pm. Kept getting back to back calls. On top of everything we were supposed to document each call when we're done and had a certain wrap up time to go by. It just felt like being chained to the computer for 8hrs a day. So please beware before taking these remote jobs.
I’m in a job like that now. I originally applied for another position and was recruited for customer service, and I was advised I would be able to transfer after 6 months to another position. After 1 1/2 years, I expressed interest to my manager in transferring to accounting which is my background, and I was quickly shut down and advised that my job is in customer service, and they would not make it easy for me to transfer! So basically I’m stuck in this position with no chance of ever transferring. I feel so isolated, take call after call, deal with irate customers all day, and all that negative energy is in my home. I definitely am chained to my desk and even have to report bathroom breaks as every minute is accounted for, I’ve never been so micromanaged in my life. I’m sticking it out for a few more months and will be resigning as soon as I’m able to.
I kept trying to apply for that type of job, but they trick you and try to get you to be a seller I had to cut through half the interview again and again. 😑
I start my first, in a while anyways, work from home job tomorrow. Customer service 19 hr with benefits and they supply pc etc. I go in tomorrow in person and then it's all from home. I did run my own business from home before and I'm a great salesman. My thought about this is: it's a good start for work from home. I can use it on my resume for a better remote job down the road. It's for RBS retail business services ahold delhaize. One issue I've had is a huge background check. I've had to explain some criminal history and they might again use it against me in the future. Most of it is explainable and the worst of it I actually didn't even do, unfortunately I still took a plea... oops. Anyways, wish me luck! I will occasionally have to be in the office. But it's not mandatory
*This is the kinda job I wish I could get bc I'm a single mom and my son is home schooled due to covid and he's immune deficient and I don't have help with him at all! It's so hard bc I don't have an income at all right now and it's so so so hard bc I worked all my life since I was 15 years old! I would love to know how I could find a job like this! My mother works at home doing medical billing.... but that requires a degree! How could I find a job working from home????*

Thanks for the video! Very informative. So you said that $20 per audio hour was one of the lower, starting rates. What should be expected as an hourly rate after I have some experience?
yes definitely, just apply and go forward, don't ever hesitate. you don't necessarily need to be physically located, remote jobs will be more than enough. focus on the requirements, your position inshallah will be granted, best of luck!
