I have an 8x4 but it only measures 92"x46". What would be the best setup for it? I've tried all the mediums and rockwool is my favorite so I'm looking to buy one ASAP
@@PAHydroponics thanks appreciate the reply. Love your videos , I’m up in Canada just building myself a rdwc 8 site and I have to say your videos have been more than helpful. Thanks for putting in the work and doing what you do 👍
gary, i am having a problem with my first bucket filling up and not circulating the water. it seems like it will over flow and not disperse to the other buckets and back to the reservoir
Heads up for anyone using these 5 gallon buckets that are having problems with roots blocking the water. They make 5 gallon paint strainer bags that work perfect at keeping your roots contained. Since I’ve started using them I’ve had 0 issues with clogging.
Love your videos!!! I thought the waterfall eliminated the need for air pumps. What would be the benefit to this system as opposed to the 3-bucket DWC system?
Thanks for the video. Longer videos have more info and you don't have to search for the rest of the information elsewhere. Awesome job! Will check out your store.
these setups are definitely the easiest but the issue with them is height. You really lose a lot of growth height especially with that bulky reflector up top.
I am just saying not to freak out about 75, plants will grow at 75, 80 is where you are likely to have problems for sure. Or just get the chiller and rule it out. G
Just got mine setup yesterday 5 - 5 - 24, I went from a Vivosun DWC 4 bucket system to this 5 bucket mini. And it is a 1000 times easier than dealing with individual buckets!! Taking ppms, ph's, and doing feedings used to take an hr/hr + now.. it's 5/10 minutes !!
Hey, this system needs to have the tubing low to floor , you could cut a slit in tent and run tubing out there, but it wont work trying to go out vent hole. G
@@davew2072 During early veg after I first plant I change out 2 to 3 weeks depending on how big they are, then every 2 weeks during veg, during flowering I change out once a week for the best yield. Thanks for watching! Gary
Hey Gary, I was in ALL Good the other day and talked with you for a while. You helped me out that day. It's my 1st grow, and you talked me through a few things. I'm sure it gets old when everyone is coming in asking a bunch of questions. This is an awesome video, and I'm hoping to build this system your showing as soon as I finish my soil grow. Keep up the great work.
Will this style drip ring work for germinating and growing all through the seedling stage? I can imagine in leca that a standard 1.5 inch rockwool cube might not actually get watered. Capillary action in leca is not as good as soil, coco coir, or even perlite. And if this does work, do you run them on a timer or leave them on full blast 24/7?
White pipes on the inside with the rubber ring out the tent hole with the 🐛 hump piece sticking out with the long end in the tent hole 5.5 don’t gotta go 6” to get it centered show me your white pipe steamed in hot water, loosen that plastic and tubing for that pipe on bricks keep it running good
Fill it with plenty of instructions with that waterfall pump top off in action alright? The highest you can get your water is really high in the beginning
Hi Gary I was going to instal a drain like this but held back because I was worried the uncirculating sitting water in the drain will grow some nasties down there. Any problems with this? Do you run sterile or live systems? Thanks
I wouldn't suggest dumping any grow nutrients down your drain because unless you have a brand New sewer line that you know is free from any roots you would be just begging for expensive future problems.
