Yay, finally some love for Valse Oubliee 2 (which I think is better than the first). One thing I’ll say though, I think the melodic section in the middle of Aux Cypres de la Villa d’Este No.2 is definitely one of Liszt’s best melodies, I would just put that into top 3 honestly

Lovely playing of a lovely piece! My favorite part of the piece is 3:40. I really like your phrasing and timing; the music flows really well. I love how you play the trill at 0:50. Might have more to do with the piano or recording than the playing, but the bass overpowers the treble somewhat, especially in the D major section.

Chopin is great but the flamboyance of Liszt is just so seductive.

6:33 overtones make this sound like a major chord, even though Liszt probably wanted to make it ambiguous.
