Talk about a once in a lifetime opportunity! All access to the Coleman / Fleetwood parts and materials when they went out of business in 2011. We went a little overboard at the liquidation sale, and bought almost EVERYTHING.
Coleman had done a wonderful job in cataloging how these pop up campers were built. From the start of production in the 1960's they detailed every last nut and bolt on every model they made. For over 40 years they continued in this same tradition, and produced parts longer than most other manufactures do.
When they closed. I wanted to make sure that the world did not lose them completely. Here is a little webstore I made for you that offers pop up camper parts, literature and more.

Thank you for visiting my channel, and I will see you at the campground :D Derek Smith
I have a 1991 Coleman Roanoke it raises about 8 inches. I’m sure this has been answered but what do I do to fix this system? The one I have appears to have cables. It gets really hard to crank after about 8 inches of lift. Any help would be greatly appreciated on parts or how to fix. Thank you in advance for the reply!
Great video! Quick question , i was raising my popup the other day and about half way up it got very hard to crank. I stopped and checked underneath. Found one of the corner cables had skipped the pully and got stuck really bad. After 3 hours and lots of bad words i was able to fix it. Can you tell me what would cause this? And how to prevent it? Thanks so much.
So my husband just put our pop up down on Wednesday, Thursday drove it to the lake and it won’t go up!! We are in over our heads and need help!! Where are you located??
One of the rails won't let the bed slide back in. Does this mean the rail is bad? Is there a way to slide the bed back in without tearing things apart?
We have a 2008 Fleetwood Avalon highlander. The ceiling, on the inside, is sort of bubbling or delaminating. It looks like the more decorative film is separating from the base. It does not look discolored/stained. The roof is not quite like any of the 3 above. There are no seams on top, but there are metal pieces that wrap around the upper side edges and corners. We don't have an air-conditioner nor a vent. There is nothing on the roof and I don't see any cracks. Should I suspect water is getting in under the metal covering the edges? Is there a video for this model?
It didn't help a bit I wanted no how they was threaded like the video saye but it doesn't show how each cable go where they get to that part and they tell you put the cable on an go next step bs
Best of luck to who ever is trying to install this part without a video showing how to do it. Beyond frustrated. The worm shaft of the wiffle tree pulls the assembly too tight and the ratchet paw doesn't connect. Time to burn this tent trailer down.
My ‘99 StarCraft Starflyer uses little metal twist locks to tightly secure the screen door to the roof. I never realized other camper brands used straps & snaps to secure the door. Interesting choice.
How does this process compare with the system where you have the crank up higher with a chain drive for to the wiffle tree? Like on a 2002 Coleman Mesa
Why wouldn’t you tie one end to the cord your gonna pull out and pull both through at same time use tape like eletricians to cover the ends and feed it through
You mentioned avoiding an impact driver. It doesn't seem that any of my drills have enough torque to actually life the roof. Why would you recommend avoiding an impact driver or impact wrench?
Is it possible the clutch friction piece could be too oily & slippery and not provide enough friction to lower the top? My camper went up OK but now the crank doesn't seem to provide any resistance and does nothing.
Awesome video! What do you recommend for greasing the chain on those chain driven lift systems? And will lubricating the chain accidently lubricate the "clutch"? Since chain goes from the bottom to the top where the clutch is
I want to commend you on your videos. Very detailed and this one certainly helped me in replacing my lift arm cable. Since I'm close to your Thurmont store, I was able to run down and grab all the parts that I needed. The staff down there was very helpful. If there's anything I would like to suggest it's please let the people know they will need a swaging tool to complete the install. I don't hear it mentioned in the video, and the people in your parts area did not mention it as well. Looking back, I realized if the cable was swaged, it wouldn't have fit through the butterfly bracket. So I understand the need to have not completed. It was just a surprise when I was installing it and found I needed to buy a tool. Fortunately, my local Homedepot has them on the shelf. If you have them at your store, it may be an additional sale while the customers are there.
I grew up with mom and dad having a Sun Valley with this kind of lift (80 someting model) and I beleive my 80"s columbia had the fold over ! Now we have a 2002 sedona and it has the fold over style! I like this better! Can this be done in my 2002 and why the change ?
The building is still there in somerset, but only being partially utilized the last time I was there a few years ago. A few new companies have set up shop.
