Union, or no Union, Angel Hernandez needs to find a different line of work! One way or another! I am sick of dealing with Angel Hernandez for the last 20 years !! And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one !! 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Does anyone know how the other umpires regard him? Does he have friends, or does he sit by himself in the lunchroom? Are there any off the record comments?
To answer the title/question of this video -- because of 'Unionology'. It doesn't matter as to how bad he is, he is IN the union and they aren't going to 'tell it like it is' because they have no honesty and therefore -- RELIABILITY. It's the same things with tenured professors.
If the Umpires union is the only thing keeping Horendous Hernandez in as an umpire, then there is a serious problem with the union. I understand a union's priority is to protect its members but when there is documented proif, via replays, of Horendous Hernadez consistently making bad calls that's a union problem. Over protecting an incompetent umpire is not a good reflection on the Umpires's union.
Ok,ok, the union backs him, but gotta ask, what is his position in the union?? Is it the same sort of thingwith police unions??? If the sarge is the union rep ? He can do no wrong ,even if theres bodycam footage?😮😮😮
I don't like Angel any more than any of you. He's a perfect example of why diversity hiring is wrong and hurts businesses. He was hired in the early 90s when this crap started. But, in fairness, it is easy to get fooled if you are set up on a corner and you get a ball tailing away, and the catcher makes a reach at it. I used to umpire harball wooden bat league games when I was in college, and that was always the ball I had a lot of trouble with. It was why I never changed my spot I set up. I set up with what I called "point at the pecker", where the point of home plate was on my nuts, and then I just remembered to bring a lot of armor and a cup. Umps get behind the catcher so they don't get hurt. It didn't bother me as bad as some guys, but I felt good not chasing the corners.
Hes fucking brutal. I was watching a jays game the other day and he called a strike at least six inches above the zone. I think the announcers said he missed like 26 calls. Thats insanity.
Who is the worst umpire in baseball? Fans: Angel Hernandez Broadcasters: Angel Hernandez Players: Angel Hernandez When you've hit the trifecta, you gotta be let go. Teams should take up a collection and pay him off to retire. He'll cost more than that in bad calls.
Angel Hernandez spends a lot of time being an absolute shit show and embarrassment to umpiring. This is not an example of that. The non calls while incorrect calls are the same calls made by 99% of other umpires. Because they're set up over the shoulder of the catcher, so their perception of the zone is influenced by where the catcher sets up, and no umpire makes strike calls when a catcher is coming out of his shoes almost diving to try to get a glove on a ball. The strikeout to end the inning for the sox, while possibly incorrect, was incredibly close. If you asked every umpire in baseball I'm guessing roughly half of them would call it a strike and the other half would call it a ball. What it definitely wasn't was "well out of the zone" like the announcers tried to make it out to be.
typical PC World bullshit thrown in peoples faces when they really know they cant do shit and fcuk up all the time. he is robbing a living and never does his job, pathetic
