I’m having squeaking problems In the back right tire of my 95 deville I was thinking it was a bad hub or bearing but this looks more like the problem I was having but mine would rock slightly and also make a metal on metal sound when going over a pothole or bump
Just here because I realized that I don't know what sound zebras made when I was asked what sound they made, and had to think on the spot. My response was "ZEE-BRAH!" in a dopey voice. Turns out I wasn't too far off.
Hey there did the 2013 CBR 1000 Arar have the same issue? I did have a 2009 and I had that same issue but I’m wondering does the 2013 model have the same thing I’m looking into buying one and the person that’s selling it told me that they were having some ABS issues.
Hey northern. You were helping me on the cbr. I went to send you my info to arrange a call sometime this week but since I entered my email, RU-vid thought it was spam. Is there another platform I can send my you information?
Hey @northern3000. I know this is quite old but hoping you could answer me a question. I recently bought a 2009 cbr1000rr abs from a dealer with 8k miles. They says then bled the brake system before I picked it up. The dealership is about 3 hours away and its cold now so i didnt go back. on the long drive home the abs light was flashing. After a hours back, i stopped and started the bike and no abs light. The brakes feel great except once in a while, if im going on slower speed and pull the brake lever in, it will go almost all the way and then i get a flashing abs light until i turn the bike off and one. Part of me is thinking that there may be air in the part of the system that you are showing bleeding in the system. From what ive read online is that this isn't super common. would like to hear your thoughts. thanks buddy
Kevin, unfortunately those early bikes had some severe ABS issues. I had two of them and both had the issue that you are experiencing. it is my best guess that the issue occurs because they placed the front ABS actuator (front power unit) and lines right between the engine and exhaust headers. this means especially during slow driving; both of those parts get cooked hard. I was able to temporarily stop this issue from occurring by flushing the system once to twice per season. Ultimately, it always came back (sometimes sooner, sometimes later). I know there are some good deals to be had on this ABS version of the bike, but i would not suggest buying them. I sold mine after the break failed on me in the middle of a turn on a very twisty road. (very scarry). If you want, we can have a call sometime i can give you some more information as you will need it
Well, that may just be the microphone. The OEM Akra is about the same or maybe just a little bit louder, but the biggest difference is the popping sound during downshifts.
@@Garib_Man yes, sound wise I would say they are just about the same, but the Akra has a nice popping sound on downshifts. Now it’s by far not the same as an aftermarket Akra, but for an OEM muffler, it’s not bad.
Today I found out my rear Stabilizer link left rear one was broken only holding from the top bolt while lower side is broken and bolt missing Any ideas what size of bolt is ?
When you say the lower bushing presses out to the rear and the upper bushing presses out to the front is that the same for both the left and right side?
Thanks for the video, it was helpful, however, it was impossible to remove the top cap on my unit. Had to hammer it off! What I found inside was everything rusted. Even the spring had rusted right through into little pieces and the plates corroded right through. The desiccant was still there but contaminated with rust. On the Suncore website it looks like they offer new complete air dryer and no longer offer the rebuild kits, not that the rebuild kits would help me
Bruce, make sure you replace the intake filter. Usually when these compressors get that much water in them it’s because the intake tube and or filter fell off. The filter usually goes inside of one of the frames.
@@northern3000 Thanks northern3000! By intake filter are you referring to the polyester filter that is inside the dryer or is there an external filter that attaches to the outside of the dryer? I will have to purchase the complete dryer now as the top cap is destroyed. Is Suncore Industries the only supplier?
@@brucerudolph1994 look at the picture of this random air compressor on ebay (www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2510209.m570.l1313&_nkw=164079587337&_sacat=0) on the right side you will see a little tube with a washer and a foam filter at the end. This is the air intake filter that plugs into the frame of the car above the pump and sucks dry air out of there. As for why produces these filters, I have no idea. its been a long time since i did this job, but just search for it on ebay. looks like they are available.
no, installation was pretty simple. The only thing I had to change was the white little o-ring on the bottom nipple. the one that came with the suncore kit was a little too big. I re-used the original one and it all went back together perfectly.
