I followed your instructions resetting aspect ratio to 9:16 and uploading short to RU-vid studio, and my video looks like all distortion lines like on a tv screen, when reception is bad… why is this? Audio is fine but the image is terrible. Yet from power director it looks perfect…
Hi, I have the opposite issue from your video. Whenever I hit play to preview a clip a rendering notification pops up above the timeline as well as a green bar in the timeline. Since this has started preview is extremely slow and there is no longer audio when previewing. I used tips from your other videos to lower preview quality and resolution but this did not help, rendering is unchecked in preferences. Could you help me solve this problem? For reference I have PD365 subscription for windows 11. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The problem with the Boris FX Film Damage is: 1) the size of the dirt is WAY WAY too big, 2) the size of hair is WAY WAY too big. The problem with the "Old Movie" Effect is: The film errors are way too little. If you want to make a film look like a silent movie from 1900 you need a lot more smol film errors and lots more SMALL very small hair and dirt. Those effects are sadly useless, cuz not authentic enough. Oh and btw. old movies didn't skip at all or run "too fast", when you watch silent movies, they are really really smooth, even without being recreated digitally.

Quick question for anyone who knows? On their website it shows the software being able to turn real life people into a cartoon version of themselves... is this available for the 139 version? I have used your information many times to help me in many ways on my editing a videos using CyberLink, I have not seen one of your videos to tell me how to get rid of the ghost files that it creates when I'm making a video. When I'm trying to make a video now it keeps popping up and I don't know where they are to delete them even though it says to do so do you have a video on here about that please help
We do a 4 camera shoot every sunday at our church . . . upload SD chips to computer . . . import to CPD16 . . . chop and streamline . . . and are usually 45 min to 65, Today will be almost 2 hrs . . . and it won't fit on a DVD . . . so I needed to make the video available to HandBrake somehow without burning the DVD . . . you spotted me on the way. . . . Is the PIP "room" only available for PAID programs? I just cannot pay for a video editor and I cannot for the life of me find one where I can put in my video and simply overlay a photo on the video. That is all I want to do. I cannot find that in PowerDirector...
Powerdirector 365 updated today and now the yellow range selector tabs that were on the playhead are gone!! If you have any connections with those folks please ask them to put them back. Without this feature the software is useless to me.

Hello, hopefully you can answer this question for me. I have two projects open. Apparently I've been building on the nested project's timeline and not the original so when I go to save the project it's saving the wrong one. I need it to save the nested project since that's the one that I have been building on. I can copy and paste the videos over but I have music and titles on the project as well and felt like it should be a simpler way. I never knew anything about this nested projects until today. Wasn't trying to complicate things.
You just saved me throwing my laptop out the window after 3 days of editing work wouldn't open! Managed to get it from this back up folder. Life saver!! xx
What a farkin complicated rigmarole to get a file on the PC that can be watched outside of power director, or uploaded to any website. The multiple tiddlyRsed steps, is highly confusing to me, when all I had to do in the original Windows Movie Maker was SAVE FILE AS, and hit the location & name it. Bingo saved as - without all those other B/S tiny steps. What I am going to do "now" is open an old XP PC and grab the Windows Movie Maker application from there, save it to a thumbdrive, put THAT into the Win 11 pc, and run it as administrator. Then work on video clips the way I used to do them when I did them on the old XP. None of the f4rkin around with all these (EXTRA) "tiny wee steps" of (this, that, "henry-poped-a-poodle", & twenty five thousand other steps before)):... Oh look - it can now PLAY it - on the PC.? Actually, a better I dea, will be to toss the video directly onto the old XP (offline forever) machine, and do all video editing there, with instant "save movie as (file) onto the thumbdrive, to bring THAT back to the win 11 as a viewable anywhere .mp4 file.
I'm based in Toronto. I am an Independent Film-maker. How much would it cost to Author a Master Disc for mass replication and production of appropriately 2000 or 2,500 dvds? The Short-Film will be 15:58 or 15:59 but the DVD will have special features options.
