@@musio.official I certainly am, I’m enjoying all of your libraries, I have the lifetime membership to full access. Excellent stuff. Couple quick comments, I I’m getting a funny crash situation using the latest Musio update within Motu digital performer 11.32. It points to Musio in the crash log. Also, another suggestion, would love to have a pan control per instrument in the Musio user interface, would make it just perfect! :-)

I just found out about Musio yesterday. Like some other commenters I'm not a professional, but I'm nonetheless fascinated by arranging and orchestration. I purchased Spitfire's BBCSO core some time ago and love it, but that doesn't have a choir. So I was browsing through Spitfire Audio and Native Instruments yesterday and was tempted, but couldn't justify it to myself just yet. But I got the full version of Kontakt recently, so why not look at other parties? And then I saw a comment in another video who mentioned Musio. Looked it up and noticed the perpetual license on a flash sale for $200 - honestly, it looked too good to be true. It took another hour of pinching my arm and looking at some review videos before I realised that I wasn't dreaming - I've been looking for affordable orchestral libraries for years and tried out many disappointing budget options - but seriously, this is the real thing and I cannot thank you enough for making this so accessible 🙋‍♀♥💃🎵

Hi Guys! So positive listening to this! Ijust quit my job as a teacher at school. It is not easy to manage all the skills necessary to build a career on the internet and at the same time be at peace with yourself, your family, friends. Self-employment can take up all your time and this is not healthy at all. Balance is very important. Thank you for this sincere and useful conversation. May God bless you!

HI Mike: we are using some kind of basic AI from '80 (sequencer, drum machines) . With the same tool some people made very nice music and others only cpoy and paste. I think it is as USING a DAW: with the same DAW someone only record to produce but another guy edit samples, create grooves, ecc.The same concept producing with loops. With the AI will be the same : if you are a begginer that want to compose and produce you will be stick more times to that the th AI generates. A developed coposer or producer will take that the AI suggest as a starting point. An important subject will be the content of the AI: more sophisticated will be , more sophisticated will be the user. Finally: the goal will be when I can train my Ai assistant to create a prticualr way of interact. And for the musicians, composers that make the things "like " or sound like, or sing like............well the path is almost over. On the other hands big companies will made a factory of standard products with AI and the final decission goes to the public: a lot of they will be good with the repeated standards until remaing boring........the other piece of the cake will be more selective and probably are willing to pay more to hear more creative music. My final thought: Ai will be dissapointing for all those who work in music coping and pasting because it will be more easy for anyone The challege will be to do an original and good piece interacting with the AI. To make copy and paste is enough with the actual AI in the market. Best regards

Musio looks really great! I got Musio 1 the other day, because I always wnated the Core CineSamples and they've been on the list for so long... It seemed like a no brainer deal... Thanks for making that available! I haven't used Musio much yet, but don't seem to see a purge samples option. Not sure if you're planning on intrudocing it at some point, but please please please make purging samples an option... It's the only way to load tons of patches and use them efficiently. Good luck with the new initiave and thank you so much for the great instruments!

Being flat broke and living with disability, I go to wherever the most affordable option is. Musio is so much easier to use than East West's offerings, everything just sounds great out of the box. I've learned a lot about signal processing, and layering instruments for a big hybrid sound. Since the brass doesn't quite reach that FFF dynamic (though still a lot more potent than Spitfire offerings). I've discovered that no libraries will really reach those Zimmer level dynamics without a ton of post processing, guess that's why they call it hybrid sound. I've gone from 2 patches of Low Brass and Cinebrass Lite, to layering in a downtuned sub layer, saturation/distortion plugins, and there it is, that classic Hybrid trailer sound that could never actually be played by a real orchestra. Though it's been fun to mess with, I wonder if the CineSymphony line could benefit from a product that already has all that trailer music filtering enabled, something to compete with Albion Colossus and Iceni? Basically just adding the "hype" into CineSymphony with a new library based on existing samples with an all-in-one processing/hype knob. Can confirm that with processing CineSymphony can sound more dynamic/bigger than Albion Colossus.

Yes, make it before someone else does. So you are saying it can also take a song and seperate each instrument and convert into a midi for each instrument? Dose it reconize the different pitches in the song? I know there are some converters out there but they seem to pick up single notes better than full chords.

Do it! I'm both a software engineer and a lifelong musician, my dad's a professional composer and we talk about this all the time. Firstly, you can't stop technological evolution, if you guys don't build it than someone else will and they might not be as ethical as you guys are... Technology has always advanced (think about what painters said when photography came out, we still have painters) AI will be yet another tool available for creativity. Sure the creative process will be slightly different but creative people will always find a way to be creative. I'm not worried about AI at all.

I think we definitely need to move in this direction and as soon as possible. If you give us the ability to use AI to create the same quality music based on content that you provide in Musio, it will be really incredible! If that's the case, I think it's only fair to consider splitting royalties on the music that will be created with your tools. Think about it. Today, there is not a single solution on the market that can generate really high-quality music with the help of AI. I think it's only fair that when an author posts a track, he or she must mention your company as a co-author and give you, for example, 15% of the royalties received. I'm looking forward to Musio with AI!

AI is already embedded into everything. It's just the next evolutionary step. It's all about incorporating it into our workflow. Like you said, it's more of an augmentation to what we (humans) have created. This type of evolution will keep happening. All we have to do is look at the evolution of music. From voices as instruments to adding manufactured instruments, from separate drums/percussion to drum/percussion kits, from live instrumentation/bands/orchestras to an individual composing with VSTs, from creating from scratch to remixing/sampling, from custom music compositions to royalty-free music libraries, and now from human to AI-generated music. Similar things have happened in just about every other industry as well (ie: transportation, the food industry, the education system, etc.), but PEOPLE learn to evolve. Yes, jobs will be loss as technological advancements arise, but most of these advancements allow humanity to move forward. With that being said, I'm a seasoned musician (40+ years of experience as a musician) and I am all about finding how I can use AI in my workflow. So I say, go for it. Go all in. I'm not going to stop creating as a human being. People still appreciate live performances and connecting with human-made music. That will be another discussion to be had when androids are fused with AI and we can't tell the difference...lol Sci-Fi is really coming to life about now...lol

Very well made video. I like that you didn't ignore the elephant in the room, or disregard the folks that don't agree with anything AI. I already have a lot of midi generative tools. Orb Composer was one designed for orchestra midi mockups but i would say it gave mediocre results. If you can manage to make something that can understand a melody and generate chords for the melody, or vice versa (usually i like to write my melodies, with no help tho) that would be super useful. I haven't found much that can work with what I give it so I would say focus on the input to output situation.

I'm loving Musio--bought it Black Friday last November- thank you for the great deal! My only complaint is the slow attack time on some of the orchestral instruments. Most of the strings and brass are not allowing me to play fast lines with no latency. This is with buffer at 512 or smaller. To compare--I load EastWest Opus, and load similar sounds--(to isolate the cause)--and the Opus instruments are giving me faster attacks for those parts that need it. I'm on the latest version AU 1.27--is this Musio version fully optimized for Mac Silicon M1? I'm running a Mac Studio Ultra M1 and MOTU Digital Performer 11. Keep us the good work, loving the ability to explore LOTS of great libraries!

I decided to get Musio. Its pretty good if you know how to work around it, at least in my case. So many good odd instrument choices and articulations. And price is insanely amazing. However it has it's downsides. I don't have brass flutter anywhere. I end up using a tremolo or distortion effect with dynamics all the way up and its okay. I also don't have any saxophones which I really need for a steampunk metal song currently. So many Jazz pianos, drums and guitar, and brass, yet no saxophones...pain. I'm using Kontakt Factory Library for it for now. Also the samples...I don't know what's with it, but when I use a full string section on staccatos, 4 parts at a time, its playing like 150 samples and I end up cutting the release all the way down which helps, but still kills my CPU. Like I just need to run the mouse down the keyboard super fast and 1000 samples 💀 I added a full string section because I arrange it in another project, or else each separate section with also guitars and amp sims in the works, my computer will explode. And its a good 1000 greens computer. Also, if you're doing electronic, staccatos or even spiccatos won't match on the grid with a synth pluck behind it and there's no offset knob. Maybe the notes aren't short enough? I don't know about that, but last time I checked, It felt like a beginners band didn't know what the hell they were doing lol. So I end up pushing the whole score three ticks back off the grid and works a little better. So in all, you get what you paid for, but...I do feel like it is still a bit of a steal with the amount of instruments and good sounding quality you get, so somewhere in between. So I would definitely recommend it if you're also an audio engineer for other genres or just a theme score composer in general. Also with how much DnD fantasy stuff there is out there, we definitely need that Ireland lol! Though I hope these issues get fixed some time in the future. I am a sucker for good quality cheap instrument collections like this and soundiron. Please keep it going!

Hi there, thanks for sharing your experience with the plugin so far. This is all really great feedback. If one thing is for sure, it’s that Musio is still a fairly young product, and we’re still working out some kinks with it. But we’re constantly working to improve the experience to be on par with what users like you expect, so feedback like this is super helpful!
