Atlanta Cutlery is currently selling 150$ priced 1918 trench knife. Made in India, but not complete garbage as most repros of this knife are. I want to get one but not sure yet....
Fun fact that these crackers are actually good. They are hard as rock but also kinda brittle (it is better to soft them in coffee or some c-ration boiled in the field). They are made for survival and for this purpose are perfect because they can last long time and they are very resistant.
I'd like to scratchbuild my own Peacekeeper Pulse Pistol would you be willing to provide some photo reference and measurements based on your resin casting please? Thanks
Well its CALLED Scratch and Dent MYSTERY SWORD BOX for a REASON YOUR THE ONE WHO BOUGHT IT besides BUDK does NOT have all bad stuff SOME of it is actually GOOD QUALITY.
I just got my (2) of these CANYON MACHETE from BudK... great value for $20, I don't expect the steel to be K-Bar grade, but it looks like it would be good for wood and easy to sharpen.🙂
These RIDGE RUNNER BRIMSTONE CANYON MACHETE are back down to $19.98 each, so I got 2 of them,, one to share,, Full tang and thanks for showing the sheath, for some reason BudK doesn't show the sheath in their ad.
I did a baton test on that knife. It failed but not terribly. It’s been a few years ago, but if I remember correctly, I hit a knot in the wood I was battoning into and it caused a deflection in the blade
The edge has a small bend in part of it. Nothing broke or chipped. Just about 1/2 inch bent a little from being driven through a knot in a piece of hardwood that I was splitting for kindling.
As the magnetic poles continue in their major excursion a compass might prove a bit complicated. The formula that converts magnetic North to true North must be changing on at least a weekly basis.
No, but considering the quality of swords I was getting before, at least value. This was a shitty box and it was the last one I did. And because of viewers like you, I gave up the whole RU-vid thing because I got sick of cocksuckers being total bitches in the comments for no other reason then they’re miserable, worthless fucks.
Who cares about the quality? It's not like you're using them, ever. Everybody buys swords for the looks and to show them off. Nobody is out there getting in to sword fights. These will cut watermelons just as good as a $1000 blade.
That Makaku is a great folded steel sword-for the price point, at least. For the longest time they were selling the wakizashi for around sixty bucks. The steel used is prolly 1045 and a little soft but, still, it looks really good for what it is. The thing that makes me giggle is the name. United does this a lot, too (think "yoru doragon"). Pretty sure Shinwa, like United (as of 2007) and TrueSwords, is a Kennesaw/BudK property. It's just terrible, grammatically incorrect, slap-dash Google Translate "engrish" Japanese. The Japanese macaque (or "makaku" spelled out in hiragana) is just called the "nihonzaru" (literally, "japanese monkey") locally. Which is a shame cuz it's a nifty sword. The real win is that tachi. It's kinda rare to see a production tachi with ALL the scabbard fittings and correct scabbard fittings. Those particular sakura fittings were originally made by Tomahawk Cutlery (United's Epiphone or Squire brand [pardon the guitar metaphor] which I don't think exists anymore) not long before United's Chapter 11 declaration. I started seeing them on Ten Ryu (a subsidiary of Masahiro which is owned my Master Cutlery) with a folded steel blade before Shinwa started making swords with these fittings mounted on 1045 steel blades a few years before this video was made. Even circa 2005-06 with the stamped 420 stainless butter knife blade this was a forty dollar sword. So that's a massive score.
That's not an end cap (kashira) it's a habaki (meant to hold the tsuba in place). And, if you love Japanese swords, someone should prolly warn you they're displayed with the smallest sword at the top of the rack and the largest at the bottom. Handles should be facing left. This is a matter of etiquette so guests in your home don't feel they're in a hostile environment. And hold them edge up when unsheathing. Pull the sheath away from the blade and not vice-versa. this will prevent you from inevitably sawing through the scabbard and/or needing 13 stitches in your palm.
I like how these bags contain "american" brands. Hahaha, its all branded cheap chinese stuff. And most of all i must laugh at when these items are counted as quality items. I bet these creditcard hobbies arre just in the states.
i use that exact shovel to remove the snow from in front of my tires in winter, small enough to get under the car easy and sturdy enough to get the job done in a timely manner
We had a similar storm with heavy rain on Tuesday. But your view is slightly better than ours. We mainly lack the river, which I am a little jealous of.
@@VroomBox42 Right on , I invested in the hydro light brand and on the instructions it suggested to use salt water after a few uses to extend the life of the battery cell . I bought three cells and I’m still on the first one !
Hi, cat! Nice cat. It is not like you are buying a $300 Cheness sword, or $5,000 custom sword. It would be nice to have a Shinwa to practice cutting with, that I can spare my 9260 swords from abuse( even though it seems they will hold up as good as the best.) js. I like your videos. My first sword was a UC 1131 ( it does light cutting well). I gave my UC 1130 to my brother for his birthday, a month after I bought my Cheness sword. Some Bud K swords are decent...
While not being very practical, it is the coolest looking combat knife. I am surprised that the blade is so thin. It is about as thick as a kitchen chef knife, it's not thick like a big hunting Bowie. The big round bolster is cool looking but kind of annoying to actually carry around.
The blade on this one is a decent thickness and it is a replica of the actual WWI trench knife. but it’s made of inferior materials and has a welded rat tail tang. Ok for display but definitely not a useable combat knife.
