According to Lawyer Anokye, there was nothing the Ashantis didn't learn from somebody else. How did such ignorami have such a powerful kingdom? Please, do some analysis.
Lawyer Anokye should stick with his day job. He knows the story, but his interpretation is always corrupted because he has an agenda to diss the Ashantis.
Typical any slight statement that doesn’t make Asante the original people on earth is no good and the bearer of such should be discounted .. call BS on this superiority complex .. mind U it is balanced by a deep inferiority complex.. listen to Asantes and their empire existed before the Akans even migrated to modern day ghana … oh let me hide myself they descended from the skies bound together by a chain of gold … another BS myth
Sir Sam Jona is a great man. As my dad's class mate in Adisco he sponsored my 6th form education when my dad passed away. I am what I am today because of Sir Jona's generosity.
HE IS THE GREATEST WE ALL KNOW.., BUT HE USED HIS CLEVERNESS TO HELP WHITEMEN TO EXPLOIT AFRICA !SO HE ONCE SAID ,THEY(OLD MAN) REGRET LEAVING THE AFRICA YOUTH IN THIS BAD AND DISGRACEFUL MATTER .I WON'T BE SUPRISE HE PAID THEM TO SPEAK ABOUT HIM.HE'S DISGRACE TO MOTHER GHANA AND AFRICA AS WHOLE .He never resign OBUASI !
Thank you very much lawyer for this wonderful political history of Ghana, especially about Gen. Acheampong. I became interested in civics as a subject in elementary school during the Acheampong's era. I was 10 years when Acheampong came into power. My own father was Acheampong's fan. I used to draw portraits of the head of state and show it at our school exhibitions. I'm very much aware of all the programmes of the the NRC. I memorised the commissioners of council. My classmates used to call me 'Graphic'. Why? Bcos Gen. Acheampong's got made me very happy with current affairs. Almost all his programmes involved everyone, even school children.
The land of Accra belongs to the Guans, not the Ga’s. The Guans were living in the coastal Plains of Accra before the arrival of the Ga’s. Nkran came from the word "ants" (Nkra Ne). When the Guans saw Ga’s coming the run away to the mountains because the outnumbered and they said, "Where are these large group of people are coming uncountable like ants (from Nkra ne came the word Nkran) as we called accra today.
