Sir Sam Jona is a great man. As my dad's class mate in Adisco he sponsored my 6th form education when my dad passed away. I am what I am today because of Sir Jona's generosity.
17:10 I know him and I love him so much, he is very respectful man, I did wiring for the house he lived in now and I know how humble he is. I love him so much
The man praised in the show is the same ma that was there to ensure our resources belongs to our enemies. If you see an African praised by the western system, know for sure he/she is a sellout
Kudos to Sir.... But per how great you deem Sir, with all due respect, i want to know why he couldn't continue the free education for all children of obuasi and the general development which was started by his predecessor.
You have given an exceptional account of Sam Jonas’ accomplishments. Now Please tell me how come Ghana gold mines are gaining virtually nothing but pittance from our gold mining industries
Great work sir, Sir please my name is Kwasi Ababio, l am from Peki in the Volta region pls l want to know the history about the poeple of Peki how come we have an Akan name, thank you sir.
He was down to earth in fact he was the first African to be appointed General Mines Manager at Obuasi Mines then A.G.C. and also the first African to live in the European area in Obuasi.
I don't even know what he's praising Sam Jones for. What exactly did he accomplish in Oboasi? He sold his country for the title of " SIR." Ghanaians and titles are more important than development.
My admiration for Lawyer Frimpong Anokye Knows no bounds. For he brings the history of Ghana to life. However, I feel he should look at things from the African perspective. This is because whiles people like Sir Sam Jonah's achievements are by no means mean, they do not tell the whole story. The question is: how does an African in this day and age, become a Knight of the British Empire? I believe it is because his contributions to the British Empire are immense. We therefore have to ask: Is the British Empire and Modern Ghana on the same path of progress? If not, then we must understand that, whiles one is winning, the other is losing. Moreover, we must understand that schools like Adisadel College were instituted by our colonial masters (Society For the Propagation of the Gospel) to train indigenes to do their biding.
He's a businessman not a politician, MP's negotiate contracts with expat companies by law, he wasn't the one who brought the mining companies to Ghana so how can you blame him for the poor deals the MP'S you elected for made. Please come again. He indeed excelled at the job he was given
Our minerals should be used to better up the country but still personal interest is kicking…. He gains all this achievements and Ghana don’t still owe it’s own mines ….. 😂😂
Hello Everyone, This is an unwanted discussion. Let me ask you, how did Mr. Jonah receive knighthood from the British? Dr. Frimpong, please, to hold your dignity, refrain from talking about everybody without due diligence. Please, we don't want to lose respect for you. It appears you are being paid to do this. If not, for what other reason are you embarking on this journey. All those big names, titles, and degrees have not helped anyone in this country.
Sam Jonah is as wicked as he was in his days at Adisco. Shrewd, yes. Remember he sold our Gold to Anglo Gold and was knighted as a result. A traitor and betrayer of Ghana and its Gold.
Sam jona is part of Ghanas problem, what did he do for Ghana since being with obuasi goldfields now Anglo gold,he didn't do nothing but enriched himself, how much did Ghana gets during his time 3%
The guy didn't do anything for Obuasi and this man is out here praising Sam Jones like he transformed Oboasi. We Ghanaians are educated Illiterates. Sam Jones is a sellout, he sold his soul for a title called SIR instead of developing for his own country.
Is this man very serious about Sam Jonah??? What happened to Ashanti Goldfileds when GH used to have a good percentage of ownership than he sold it to his puppeteers!....... Do you know Tiny Lornroh? Do you know why he was Knighted? This man cannot be serious! Another lost soul!
@@williamhanson4154 THEY ARE NOT , BUT THEY ARE IN CENTRAL REGION AND DENKYIRA TOO, YOU SEE , YOU DON"T KNOW ANYTHING, YOU ARE THE PERSON ARGUING ABOUT AGONA PARAMOUNT CHIEF ISSUE
The lawyer’s account is not fully accurate. I worked at AGC in the late seventies and early eighties. General I . K Acheampong demanded a fair share of 45% of the company which was then owned by Lonhro. The General manager of the company, a man called general Spears was angered by the demand and threatened to “flood” the mines. Acheampong called his bluff and got his wish for Ghana. The next general manager by 1979 was called Manager Box (hope I spelled the name right) I was in the company when Rawlings used to visit the company very often. He also demanded a higher percentage of shares in the company, and therefore had the right to appoint the general manager. Rawlings appointed Sam Jonah by popular support and demand of the miners.
This man is part of the downfall of Ghana! He was the boss for Ashanti Goldfields for so manyy years but was not even able to develop a small town like Obuasi. He managed to manipulate the resources of Ashanti Goldfields to his own benefits!! All the certificates he achieved what benefits did we get from him for the country!! Maser just stop the talking and give us our peace! This Sam Jonah contributed nothing to Ghana, he is now based in South Africa for a long time!! I think he just want to join politics now!! Maser just tell us what he viably contributed to the country!!! He is just corrupt!
This Lawyer Frimpong never tell any truth. Sam Jonah is not from Assin Kushea. His mother Beatrice Jonah is not a native from Assin Kushea. His brother is regent chief but not because he hailed from any royal home. Soon the whole ghana will destool his brother and your lies will be exposed.
