trust me mate, it is 100% a mind game, 1000cal a day is so fucking hard but its your mental capacity to say NO, DONT EAT, it is beneficial for a quick cut but definitely need to still meet your macros and vitamins

Started at 1500, currently doing 900-1200 and weighed in at 295 in December, and Currently 225 in May. I’m 5’11, and so close to being out of that obese category!

I consumed 1000 calories for 10 days and l dropped 1.2 lbs and l do physical work daily because l have a cleaning business. Not working anymore.l don't know what else to do.l want to drop 60 lbs.

His problem with this is that he isn’t fat. At my highest I had 200lbs of weight to lose. The energy is there to feel fine all the time. After the first week of doing 1200, my body got use to it. I’m not even hungry most of the time, sometimes I’ll go an entire day one meal a day with no hunger. Sometimes when I do get hungry I just walk or lift weights and by the end of the workout my hunger is gone. It’s remarkably easy now, it was way harder on my 2500 calorie diet juggling what to eat every day and seeing slow to no results. I wouldn’t recommend this to someone who needs to cut 20lbs though. The meal prepping is the only down side it can take me 2hrs to make the 4 meals with ingredients from scratch, beef, brown rice, beans. I have a full time job, family, so between the time to prep and workout time is limited. So I do 4 prepped meals for work days on Sunday then cook fresh or get a 800cal chipotle salad bowl for the weekend. Also take vitamins!

@@morematcha I fast but it’s not really a goal of mine it’s just so I’m not hungry at night and because I have always been a one big meal kind of guy. When you have been hungry a while it becomes very bearable almost not noticeable. Down 95lbs now 😀

TW, EATING DISORDER AND GRAPHIC DESC?? 12 yr old girl and I fasted. Still am. Worst mistake ever. Doctor didn't tell me to do it (why the fuck would they anyway?) 1 weighed 127 IBS 4 months ago. I was average. I'm now 92 IBS and seizing. I am underweight, and my body is literally dying. My ribs show when I breath, I can feel my hip bones if I am to move my hand down my belly. sometimes I puke when I eat. I look insanely ill, I have pale purple rounds under my eyes, I can barely keep them open. I have no extra skin in my upper chest areas, I pass out often, and I barely find enough energy to wake up at all. 1 feel shameful for eating more then 500 calories a day. I have an eating disorder, I have been diagnosed. I have managed to fight back the shame and eat 900 calories today, but I am still losing weight. I literally cry myself to sleep if I eat more then 700 calories a day. 900 is a lot for me. Today is the only time I've felt actually full for the entire 4 month period. - on another note, I have not had my period within 2 months. I'm not sure if that's related to the eating disorder. I have absolutely no energy, and my vision keeps spinning and blurring. I have not seen a doctor for this recently. And no, I was never made fun of for my weight. I grew up faster than my classmates, I had more of the physical attributes of a teenager. I wanted to be like the slim jims in my class so I began starving myself. It worked, but not without cost. thanks for reading. idk if there's anything important in this. please don't do what I did.

Good test. I think that you have to keep going with the diet. You would probably stop feeling hungry during the third week of the diet. I'm consuming only 949 calories a day and I'm in my third week. I feel less hungry now. However, I spent three to four weeks overeating before doing this diet, thus I may be less moody due to the extra food that I allowed myself. Congratulations on losing some inches off your waist and some weight!

April 10th 2023 just started my 1000 calorie a day diet. I did this back in 2013 and lost 120 pounds in about a year. Well I’m back up to where I don’t wanna be so back at it.

I’m eating 1000-1200 calories a day and I’m on my third week. At the end of the week I’ll go eat anything I want as long as I’m at a calorie maintenance. I haven’t been hungry or craved if anything my hunger has been going down and I’ve lost 4-5 pounds already. I love it. Obviously this isn’t going to be forever. Just until i go to where I want to be then I’ll be at a calorie maintenance all the time

(F 6'1 start of 10 days 200lbs) *I started this 1st Jan- I'll update* -01/01 -Easy. I ate that much over Christmas that it felt refreshing. -02/01 Haven't had much of an appetite today so it felt easy -03/01 I felt satisfied with what I ate -04/01 I had cravings for junk food so I ate some small chocolate bars within my calories. But that meant I didn't eat much quantity

@@morematcha 1 sweet potato is 112 calories and 2/3 cup of rice is 136 calories two boiled eggs 156 calories that's a total of 404 calories sweet potato for breakfast can last me til dinner time I snack in between breakfast and dinner my dinner is just rice the boiled eggs are my snack i switch foods daily if its not this its a protein shake for breakfast and A lemon yogurt for dinner

Trying to stay around the 1000 calorie mark because my BMR is usually around 1000-1200. I’m 4’11” and around 43kg. Sometimes I work out sometimes I don’t. I mostly do cardio because I am too scared to try strength/core training. I do a steady jog pace on the treadmill for an hour with 3 breaks in between. And then I use the elliptical for about 30 mins. When I am exercising I burn about an average of 450 calories. I work out about 3 to 4 days in a week. On my lazy days though, I am REALLY bad and I stay at home like a couch potato. I feel like I’m ruining my metabolism. 😢 Suggestions are very much welcome.

If you eat mostly vegetables you will find it hard to eat more then 1000. After you get used to eating at low calories the hard part may be how to increase your calories in order to retain weight

I went from 100kg to 73kg in about a year from eating just 1000 calories a day. Aswell as riding 30kms every second day and lifting weights every other day.. it is really hard for me to lose weight .

I’ve always been knows for having a massive appetite since I was young. Always eating loads and loads and never putting on weight, probably like most teens. I’m 21 now and recently realised I was putting on a lot of fat around the waist and stomach. I’ve decided to cut down to 1300cals a day from my previous 2500-3000. I’ve lasted 2 weeks so far and realised the last couple of days I’m not even missing eating huge amounts or getting fast food every other day. I feel healthy and good. I will probably go up to 1500-1700cals as I know 1300 probably isn’t sustainable long term and I will end up on the other end of the spectrum. But so far so good

I’m really confused, everywhere says that 1,000 calories is drastically low. But my maintenance calories are 1,400. So if I cut down to 1,000 to lose weight it isn’t such a big difference. Does it not depend on the person?

Ofc it does! Eating less is not a problem as long as it is healthy & your body is comfortable with it. I feel soo good when i eat less & mindfully ofc :) I'm 5 in height and my maintenance calories are 1500 onlyy so if i cut down 300-500, it won't make any harsh difference but will give me good results!! Yeahh i do agree to not go extreme, which is 500 Cl a dayy which is really dangerous, it's like starving yourself!

I’ve eaten 1000 calories per day for 4 weeks + running 55-60 km/35-38 miles and strength training twice a week. Have lost 9.1 kilos/20 lbs so far. Hungry sometimes, but I actually feel quite good!

You're better off moving more than cutting calories! If I was to do 1000kcal a day it would be all high quality protein and veg and I'd do no exercise other than a few push ups a day and walking.

nice. i’m starting 800-1000cals a day for 6weeks starting tomorrow. unless im doing exercise where i’ll Substitute by having extra veg. its the Nhs shake /soup diet. 4 shakes a day. but i’m doing it of my own back not through the nhs. they say no exercise on the diet but i have an active job 5days a week.

I searched this up because of serious fatigue that I'm currently into. So I need 2500 calories a day due to me being 74kg and I'm burning about 900-1200 calories a day with boxing training and working out for 2-3 hours a day and only eating 800-900 calories more or less.

Eating alot of salad, egg whites, chicken, and substituting carbs for veg makes this very easy. With exercise I went from 180 at 5,7 to my current 160 in a month or so. I havn't felt hungry much at all. I feel great and there's been alot of benefits. More hydrated. Cut alcohol. No heartburn. Better posture and mood. More confident and goal driven mindset. But I'm sure continuing this way of eating would not be good. Cutting for calisthenics (probably 150) to be able to lift my own weight is the goal at the moment. Maintenance calories should be a breeze after.

The reason people think this doesn't work is because when they've tried it they have gone back to eating 2000 plus cals, if you do this you will put on weight, here's the thing, we are told that adults need 2000 cals, this is not true, this has been invented by the food industry to make more money. Your body can survive very well on 1000 cals if you are getting all the vitamins you need
