I have a question about how much I should be studying. One of the practice tests I took from MEK, which I'm using as a benchmark, was 1340; this score was not the highest of the ones that I've taken, but the higher ones had comparatively easier math sections (like going from 680-780). Now I have 31 days left until the sat. I've started to keep track of what topics I'm getting wrong for English and math, but it's not enough. I've set a plan for myself to do 1 hour 30-55 min study sessions for each subject every other day, while the other days I have SAT practice tests in person, which afterwards we go over in class. In conclusion, I just wanna know how much I should be studying lol, and any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi, I’m a rising sophomore and I plan to take the SAT and PSAT. I’ve been studying SAT (yes because PSAT is an easier test and similar structures) and on average I get like mid-high 700 on math and mid 500s on reading. Do you have any ways to improve on the reading and writing section other than reading everyday? I also have double time too 😂
SAMEEEEE (similar) I got a 1060 and want 1500+ so bad agh. But I didn’t answer a lot of questions so I think these tips should help! - Time urself, pace urself and answer quickly and efficiently! - Khan academy prep, Princeton review, Bluebook practice tests every other Sunday is what Im doing and then studying at least 3 hrs daily - PRACTICE! (Khan academy, workbooks, youtube vid follow alongs, or the question bank) - Identify where the issues are. For me, I am great with algebra but worse with geometry. When it comes to reading, writing, and math, which areas are u bad with? -READ REGULARLY. The New York Times is great, I also suggest classic literature books (Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Little Women, Frankenstein, The Picture of Dorian Gray, White Fang) - Learn math, think of it as u need to study
it's all about practice and figuring out what you don't already know and learning it.. sounds like a lot but your future self WILL thank you. you got this
@@BillieLovesYou no worries, try collegeboard's sat question bank to help yourself become more familiar with the question types. don't give up just yet
my bluebook score is now around 1500 and I desperately need 1550+!! but still i’m grateful for the progress since I’m an international student and non-native eng speaker
I have SAT in August and my score now is Eng. 620 630 660(recently) average Math 690 720 770(recently) Average is between 1300 to 1400 So am in a good position to score 1450 plus? I have exam in August 24🎉
@@therealdeets thank you so much!!! I've started practicing like 2 days ago and I decided to focus on Math First. I've broken down the math section and I've been preparing chapter by chapter a it's going well so far. Thank a lot. I will utilize this resource too!!
I took a practice test in the beginning of summer and i scored in the 1000s (1080 and 1020) with zero studying and zero previous experience regarding the SATs. Im taking the august DSAT and i plan on taking it only once. Since there is a limited number of tests for me to take, Im currently putting practice tests off till the last 3-4 weeks. Im studying the material provided my khan academy, and my goal is above 1400. What do u think about khan academy and do you have nay recommendations on what else i should be doing.
motivation is the end result you get when you dedicate the time.. i totally get the burnt out feeling, im right with you on that but we're gonna do this :) join the discord, it helps: discord.gg/9TtFkSkQpw
I'm having my SAT in August and this really helped me a lot! thank you and pls do more videos like these cuz this is the part where I'm struggling the most.
a 1520 is incredible, congrats!! just keep drilling in english concepts, the more familiar you become with the question types.. the more confident you will be on test day :)
yeah, no worries! one thing to note about using a semicolon is that you have to make sure both parts of the sentence you're connecting are independent clauses (this means each part should be able to function as a complete sentence on its own, not just a fragment)
Got a 580 on my reading and 520 on my math for PSAT freshmen year. I didn’t know any A1 and now I’ve finished A1 and geo formally. I’ve finished A2 moving onto trig via khan academy and planning on also completing the precalc course on khan by the end of the summer. I plan to get at least 1250-1400 on my PSAT and by extension working up to a 1600 on the SAT. I don’t want my reading section to fall behind, specifically my grammar is really bad and I basically dont know any rules or anything. Are there any good resources to learn grammar from the ground up?
i really like these short straight to the point videos!! most of the time people already "know what to do" but just need someone kind and fun to tell them what to do and that is you deets lol !! please keep sharing your content you are helping lots!!
hi :) a semicolon won't work because "one is a world of books" is not an independent clause (in other words.. the sentence can't function on its own) "one is a world of books" is a fragment remember that when you use a semicolon...both parts of the sentence you're connecting have to be independent clauses (this means each part should be able to function as a complete sentence on its own) hope this helps!!
ofc :) for saving time.. i recommend focusing directly on the question itself (see what it's asking) and then target key information in the passage itself (focus on what you need to find in the passage to answer the question) <- ik this may seem a bit straightforward but once you leverage this approach, it makes finding the right answer a lot easier for vocab words, check out this resource: drive.google.com/file/d/175IP0PXYbjQ_aHWN4Y5ReX0G6awH-htE/view
honestly.. if youre strategic and know what you need to learn/work on to get to your target score, it's definitely doable. don't underestimate what you can do in a month. if you know realistically that youre not one who will sacrifice the time needed to get to that point.. maybe another story. please dont get discouraged tho, i understand that studying for this thing isnt ideal but it is important and the score will only help you.
