While the annotation tool can look helpful, I think that it sometimes can just be distracting because of the pop-up and the fact that you have to write something instead of just highlighting. I guess if you really cant focus then its worth it, but I just take quick mental notes of stuff that seems important.

to bridge the gap, you have to target the problem (straight forward and ik its easier said than done)... if its vocab, you expand by reading upper-level books (the long, traditional way) but if you're really crunched for time..run through commonly-tested sat vocab word quizlets

I LOVE THIS- but I do have a question. I have already taken the Digital SAT and did absolutely terrible- like 860 kind of terrible. One of the problems I had was I took WAY too long on the subjects. For example, I annotated a lot because I understand the subject better when I break it all down, but this took too much time that I didn't even finish half of the section. How do I go through the questions more thoroughly and quickly, so I save more time? (btw I love your videos, you are such a great help

hihi! happy to help :) i totally get it, you're one who wants to fully understand something and feel 100% confident before moving onto the next thing. the best practice you can do is becoming more familiar with the actual question types tested on the digital sat to help improve your pacing. use collegeboard's sat question bank to target question types (ex: words in context) and keep practicing through practice questions to streamline your thinking/solving process! Got a 580 on my reading and 520 on my math for PSAT freshmen year. I didn’t know any A1 and now I’ve finished A1 and geo formally. I’ve finished A2 moving onto trig via khan academy and planning on also completing the precalc course on khan by the end of the summer. I plan to get at least 1250-1400 on my PSAT and by extension working up to a 1600 on the SAT. I don’t want my reading section to fall behind, specifically my grammar is really bad and I basically dont know any rules or anything. Are there any good resources to learn grammar from the ground up?

my school does the EXACT same thing. good news tho is that you can take it as many times needed to secure a higher score :) it typically costs money but it’s worth it for the better score. wishing you the best of luck, you got this

@@onlyflynick I mostly used bluebook practice tests and just reviewed what I got wrong. The sad thing is I was getting 1540s on all those tests but I got a 1490 on the actual test 😭

vocabulary is something that is built over time :) an easy way to do this is when you're taking practice sat exams..write down words you find throughout the reading sections that you don't confidently know (in passages, words in context questions, etc) and write down each word. later you can look up their definitions and the more important part... learn HOW to use the word in context.
