The point of this channel is to show the world than ANYONE can repair build and create. I like to tell stories about how & why I have to repair something. There are no limits to what you can do. Follow me and my special guests as we embark on challenges of repairing everything we can as well as creating and coming up with solutions to everyday construction or repair problems. There's nothing we won't try. Auto mechanics, 3d printing, computer repairs, construction and the list goes on. You don't need expensive equipment or be a rocket scientist to follow along. I will answer all the questions I get about almost anything. So ask away and welcome to the NHG Family!
Clean the Throttle Body. Thats why it shut off without key. You disconnected the battery, ECU cleared learned values, lost the TB dirty compensation value as the MAX value is +16% and cause tons of drivability problems unchecked, crap MPG, etc, you NEED to redo the Zero Point Relearn the right way with LSD flashing on dash after restoring power. Incld power windows travel / auto down, etc
@@truthteller8274 we had really liked ours. What is it about your experience that makes you not like it. I’m curious. Is it was the brakes we had issues with.
Thanks for this video. I have a question, How many miles has it nowday and the oil carter is in good conditions? Tell me if it has the factory timing belt, that is a wet timing belt.
It has 33,000kms on it now. I am still using the same oil plug and seal. For the timing belt are you asking if it’s a chain or belt? Thanks for watching.
@@NorthernHomeGarage It's running pretty rough, but the gaskets seem to be alright. Seems like at full throttle, it's only putting out half power, and it dies below the start setting. But it's a 2 stroke and I'm mechanically inclined.
It’s really funny you mentioned that now. I was just planning on checking the lower mounts because I found a really small coolant seep that I want to address because of a creak noise now when I rock the engine back and forth. I think coolant got on the mount. Thanks for the tip. I will definitely do that!!
Anyone have an idea what I'm dealing with? I have a 2018 Terrova70, it was running super strong. Got a line wrap around prop. Tried to unwind it by hand. Probably pulled it super tight (to no avail). Took prop off, removed line. Put prop back on. Now i have almost no power when trolling. I can spotlock in a strong current and it holds, but at speed 10 I'm getting little to no thrust out of it when trolling. The troller reads full battery. Thoughts?
great video, changed my rear drive following video for first time, didn't remove gas tank but prolly good idea, alot of bloody knuckles.. thanks for the video
En caso de cambiar la polaridad al conectar el motor en la batería que pasaría??? Me compré un motor hace poco y está al revés 5 velocidad en reversa y solo 2 hacia delante
I painted commercial properties and even bulk oil plants and all the piping/plumbing around them for 55 years and have heard that paint thinner is called Varsol for the first time in this video? Must be a Canadian thing , Not in the Northwest USA... The Brits call Vacuuming "Hoovering" so I get it . a major brand becomes the accepted name for all paint thinner. Take Off ! Aye..
I got a similar one. Never started, just been in storage. Replaced starter cover that was damaged in transit, fuel tap lever broke so I replaced fuel tap, mice had chewed wires under the tank thus they needed some fixing as well. Starts and runs well but does not start easily when warm and always needs many pulls. I'm using canned synthetic fuel for small engines. I've learned some engines might have starting issues with synthetic fuel since it has less volatile components in it. This is my only small engine which has problems related to synthetic fuel, though I'm not sure if that's the reason for starting issues.
I have no experience with synthetic fuels. However not impossible, I would think to check make sure the correct plug is in it and maybe carb adjustment??
Thanks for the video. The black drain tube at 5:54 came out of my machine when I was draining it to clean the filter. Is it possible to access it so that I can clamp it back on without having to take off the entire front cover, such as taking off the bottom panel of the washing machine?
Thank you for the quick reply. I went ahead and followed along with your video. I was able to reattach the drain hose and everything is now working. Thank you so much!
It's a nice little car. I have the same one with the turbo. I don't like the fact that it has plastic oil pans. I live in the mid west, cold to hot makes plastic brittle. I'm sure if you hit a good speed bump it would crack it. I'm wanting to service my transmission and it's AWD. Does this car have a transmission filter?
I really love this little car. Ours has the M3F 9spd transmission and it does have a filter very much like the engine oil filter. It's a cartridge style but it looks like the transmission has to come out to access it, so I'm thinking it's probably not part of the maintenance schedule.
Inflator arrived today. Topped up all the tyres on my van. I can see why you like it. So easy to use and quicker than I had anticipated. Thanks for your video, gave me the push I needed to buy it. Hello to Ash too!
I liked your humour! Great vid! Have yet to see any one demonstrate how to connect to power using a regular plug into a wall socket. Have read quite a few reviews of the battery connection not working, so would be good to see how to connect a plug.
Thank you so much ;) To use the AC power function you need to unfortunately purchase the DeWalt OEM N557514 AC adapter. I too thought it came with it but....NOPE! That's probably why you can't find anyone using it. Because we are cheap!! :) In all seriousness, I have had no issues in 2 years. I would buy again.
Private gas station owners that use ethanol can have water added to the gasoline that they purchase. The ethanol distributors will ask the owners if they do, and how much, when ordering. So the ethanol pulling in moisture from the air is the story we have get from that.
Because if it’s all wheel drive you need to be sure that the other three are not badly worn. It’s not recommended to install one new tire on an AWD vehicle that has near end of life tires.
I've got a snow bear plow that's 23+ years old with a wireless remote system on am 01 for F-150 I absolutely love my wireless remote that's back lit I have the electric winch and manual side to side my paint looks a lot better then that
Do you run the Degas setting first? I’ve just read some places that makes a big difference, or is supposed to, to degas the solution before placing parts to clean?
Used distilled water in the main tank, then put whatever you are cleaning in a jar full of your cleaner. This will save you from having to use/waste so much cleaner, and you wont need to clean the tank each time.
