Dive into the world of snowmobile maintenance with our latest project video! Join me as I tackle the task of replacing the bearings and seals in the chaincase of my 2001 Ski-Doo Grand Touring. I try to give you a step-by-step instructions and tips for a successful repair.

Oh no. Well I’ve only put about 6 miles on mine so far this year. No snow where we are. The groomed trails are mostly still closed. I hope you get to put some miles on before the season ends.

Thanks, I'm sure video will be helpful going forward, newly purchased 2002 SkiDoo twin with some kilometres on it. Same chassis, longer skid (151"). My first long-track. Has the reverse where the engine turns backward, very odd sensation when it switches. Have paper shop manual and full-size wiring diagrams. First vehicle of any sort I have owned where part of the electrical system is DC, most is 12V AC.

That’s awesome. It’s nice to have something reliable up here where we are. Thanks for watching!

That was phenomenal to watch. You’ve found an amazing place for the Manuel’s. This might sound like a dumb question but do they give you the names of the tools, best required to the various parts? You always give some incredible tips and it seems like it was an all around success. Ash looks like he’s happy just being there. Fantastic video. The machine looks amazingly newer.

Hi , do you have any tips on reinstalling the lower bolt and spring. I am having some trouble over coming the spring pressure to get the bolt in. I would appreciate any tips you have. Thank you

I wish I had a trick for you. I'll be totally honest, I don't remember having any big issues with getting the bolt started by hand. I do remember it being a bit of a chore but I did not struggle with it. I had no special tools.
