I've seen another comment saying that Betty actually improved in the later years of her series. To me, it's fascinating how the series seems to evolve quite naturally, even while the Fleischers were obliged to change Betty's attitude due to censorship: she had very good shorts as a childish character and other good ones as an adult one, and the two portrayals are not incoherent, as she appears to "age" gracefully. Maybe I'm exaggerating since we're talking about a cartoon character, but let it be 😂

The reason why Saturn is able to beat Mars and Venus for Planet Earth is because Planet Earth is not brand new, it is old. The Roman God of War represents the Soldier who is able to kill people, take orders without second thoughts or talking back, and put his own life on the line. He represents 50. The Venus God of Beauty represents the Pretty Woman who makes an honest effort to look attractive every day and dress to impress. She is not trying to buy Planet Earth if it is old, decaying, and falling apart just like these houses. There are women out there that have kids yet they are shown to not be married. They didn't bother waiting for a fella to come on by and put a ring on her finger and pay for the wedding, the photographer, and the extra costs associated with the wedding and becoming a wife. But at the same time, there are lots of attractive women out there that don't have kids but they are NOT virgins. They are not trying to be seen as trash and have children out-of-wedlock. Saturn represents the run-of-the-mill Jewish Man. He makes his living selling and buying stuff. Also, he saves lots of money because he does not bother to spend it. He uses it to buy properties. If it is not the soldier that kills people for their land, resources, and property, if it is not the woman that stays with someone for a lifetime for their land, resources, and property, it'll be the Jewish Man who wins it all without bloodshed.
