Do you have any good tips to make extra details? Me and my group plan on being captain Rex, commander Cody, and commander bly. There’s quite a few details on the armor aside from the armor itself so what would be the best way to tackle those?
I love these, came to the channel trying to figure out how to create a template for a specific helmet but no one’s made it before and I’m really struggling, anyone able to help?
ima be boba fett and either gonna use a mask that I'm building or a 3d print or I'm gonna be Darth Vader since I got a really nice mask from my aunt as a gift
For the rangefinder, I drilled two small holes on the top, glued red acetate to the underside, glued a magnet to the underside (off set) and placed a small LED light on the magnet. Purchased a bag of 20 from Hobby Loby. My rangefinder now lights up!!
Would you consider making templates for attachments, like ARC/officer pauldrons, bandoliers, holsters, ammo packs, etc? I love watching your process videos and really want to try and make my own armor set using your templates!!
Hey Tristan, if you want to create good weathered paint chip marks, I recommend applying liquid latex with a toothpick over the black before you paint it orange. Then you can use your finger or something similar to rub it off after it dries. Creates pretty realistic scratches and paint chips.
The use of EVA in all your vids never cease to amaze me. Would it be possible for you to make a Commanded Wolffe (from The Clone Wars) helmet? I would definitely love to see that and buy the template for such a helmet. Keep up the great work!
These templates are for sale as I put a lot of work into them and the tutorial videos. Some other makers offer some free templates (Much Props, Andrew DFT, Ryzer) you can look into that.
I'm about to start working on this one. Hopefully, there won't be too much of a difference between the 8mm and 10 mm foam, though. We'll see. These templates and instructions are awesome, though.
