Let's face it, Theresa was out to win and she did everything she could and she won. But it didn't take her long to see Gerry for who he really is. You can only fake it so long. The honeymoon was supposed to be in May.
After seeing a video of Gerry and Theresa eating dinner at her home, she fixed a salad and I think he is a meat and potato kind of guy. She is a healthy eater, and he loves sweets, and she does not. When they showed them at his home in Indiana the interviewer asked about what they were doing while they were there, and Gerry said they were going out meeting his friends probably at the bar down the road and Theresa kind of made a weird face. That's not her thing. So, what I think is their lifestyles were completely different. And even though his home is worth about $100,000 more than hers we don't know how much equity they each had. It could be when they were looking at homes he wouldn't be contributing as much as she would. She wanted to continue working even though she said she would quit. And even though she said he told her about the other girlfriend before it went public, I don't believe it. I think that bothered her that he lied throughout the show. And he is the one that filed for the divorce. I think he is a player and he enjoyed being the bachelor and kissing all the other women, etc. Maybe he wants to date again now that he is famous. I also heard he is moving to California and has a talent manager. I think it all went to his head. Good luck Gerry. Why is Theresa having a police escort her to and from work?
Your theory may be very correct about Teresa talking Gerry into marriage and what she could do for him because Gerry was captivated by Leslie in that decision making evening date! He told Leslie hie much he loved her! Then next thing you know Teresa shows up on horseback and acknowledged she knew something was off!! Teresa knew she had lost her man and had to have come up with a good one! Whatever that was!
Please people have respect for the sancitity of marriage, and... Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, Acts 3:19
11:30-12:15 gr8 point I didn’t think of that. Theresa isn’t so fun w her personality by herself. The other girls r having fun tog. She def had FOMO. They got the fun girl group w energy and Theresa got left w old man child only
Ya simply don't sign up for a process like that if relocating is off the table. Simple as that. Unnecessary to spend so much time overthinking and analyzing. They're just incompatible. He's not attracted to her and she doesn't want a manchild.
They're both sooo phony, beautiful words and empty action. It was all about publicity and fantasy !. To be at that age and to be so stupid about life and love.....WOW IT'S SCARY. Gerry is a jerk and 70 year old Theresa in a white dress and veil was so beyond ridiculous!
Watched two episodes and knew Gerry and Theresa were going to bond over their shared traumas over the death of their spouses. Stopped watching since I figured he'd pick her. Because she was in the bottom 5 in the looks department, felt disappointed he chose her when there were more attractive women he could have chosen. Either way, never thought they would stay together. Although I did think they'd wait until after their first year anniversary in order to milk the publicity for as long as possible.
Gerry and Theresa , based on what I have read, never planned on living together and being "married". This was a planned arrangement and they were basically strangers getting married. I heard the money was too good to pass up for both of them
No there were facts, his past relationship. And he finessed around the pointed question regarding his past. He’s a liar and a cheapskate, and history tends to repeat itself. You can’t out run character.
I read that he was not honest about his past. He did have a live-in girlfriend, and was actually a maintenance worker at a senior living facility. He was not financially solid. It was all a facade. Theresa finally saw it all!
I read he had a former girlfriend after his wife died but they broke up years ago. And that he tried to convince everyone he never had a serious relationship with anyone after his wife died.
He wasn’t forth right, but Theresa said she was aware. I think they had a plan, all along, for Theresa to help them both monetize the best they could, but I am not sure why they didn’t make to the end, after the honeymoon!
You guys cant ever show clips of things you speak about? I think it would be a far more successful podcast of yours if you interjected clips of things that you are then going to discuss. I don’t know how much of the population watches TV to the extreme that you guys do, but are interested in understanding what the heck you’re even talking about.that being said, I just want you guys to be successful. It’s a little frustrating to watch when there’s nothing to show for what you’re referring to. Take care. Love you both😊
Dear Shandy (Sharleen joynt) did a love fest video with Gerry and Theresa just a couple weeks ago. They talked about her job and their moving hurdle. It was obvious to me then that they were in trouble. It was interesting. Something was afoot then.
I think Leslie is laughing all the way to the Golden Bachelorette! He did her wrong and that tainted the whole show for me but I am so looking forward to Leslie's season! Keep up the great work ladies! xoxo
I think she is, too. I also think Theresa sees that the other ladies are having more fun than she is. I think maybe he didn’t turn out to be the prize everyone thought he was
They are from two different worlds. He is a rural guy and she is from the opposite. Why do you think they were so perfect? Please know more about the show and what has taken place before you do a podcast.
Ever since the news came out, I have been waiting for someone to spill their truths about what happened. I think the plan was to milk it but something happened that ended as a complete end deal. Probably, imo, had to do with something said or done with their children or family.
We agree. I think they milked it as much as they could. It seems like being near their family was more important than the relationship. And if that’s it, then I think that’s valid.maybe they thought it could work
Thanks for discussing all these myriad of issues and life experiences women of our age have experienced. I was married at 17, and divorced at 27 with 3 children. I remarried 11 years later and gained a combined family, which presents a TON of issues and challenges within itself. I too had a hysterectomy, (but a partial one) at 43. And like Kim said, it was the best thing I could have done! Anyhow, unlike you two and apparently others, I absolutely loved my 50s. My hair was at its best, my fitness peaked, I finally had the guts to undergo a plastic surgery procedure that I'd wanted all my life - and I had finally come into my own. All that said, I turned 60 in June and am eager to to see what this new decade brings. :-) I really enjoy listening to this podcast, as you are both beautiful, intelligent and insightful women. Thanks again for this podcast!
I heard in an interview, that there are less men that age to make contestants for the show. The rumor is that ABC will bring all the ladies back to compete again for another golden bachelor.
