I have some weird bumps in my jawline and jawline joints growing under tissue and gum they are getting larger may be cancerous who knows. This world is cruel
I’m getting my tooth pulled and will live with a gap between the upper rear teeth. I’ll put the $3k into a CD. I’m done putting money into my mouth. I’m 69 and don’t plan on living more that 10 years so I’ll enjoy the money. My buddy had an implant with bone graft and sinus lift and he told me Never Again!
I had mine 25 years ago due to a bad skateboarding accident. Long story short im in a ton of pain and the area where it was done is 100% infected and coming out of where the scar was.
Bring back the narcotics . Oxy IR s OxyContin INSTANT RELEASE . No Tylenol or ibuprofen in it . I hate the way this ibuprofen gives me hart burn and the Tylenol is bad for the liver and I already got a bad liver . Dam Government making everything illeagal except the illegal aliens .
During a routine cleaning in November 2024. My dentist discovered that my tooth was at the beginning stages of dying from damage from my braces back in the 80's. Anyway, in January 2024, I got a bone graft and was told to wait for three to four months for the graft to heal. I returned today May 20th to learn that the graft wasn't strong enough to hold the implant post. So he re-grafted, added bone and I have to wait another three months and try again. Ugh
So where do they get the bone grafts from? I still don’t know…the banks trade it ok, but where does it come from? Dead bodies? Late term abortion stems? Cows?
I’m seven months post-op, after choosing to have all of my upper teeth removed. (They were damaged from years of acid reflux and tooth grinding.) Three of my posts are out, and the fourth one is getting close. I’m saying this because I want people who are curious about the procedure to have realistic expectations about healing time. I was told 3-6 months. Due to my high blood pressure, and general lack of being “the norm” when it comes to anything medical - I knew it’d be at least six months - probably more. I’m very close, and looking forward to the next step. I don’t regret the procedure at all. I just want to let others out there know that it’s definitely NOT an instant fix. 🙂
What about numbness after implants are placed? My lip, chin and a few teeth on my lower right side are still numb one month after the impants were placed. The implants have felt fine. No pain. No infection. The dentist said the nerve gets pressured and there can be numbness for weeks, even months. It is not uncommon. What can be done to get the feeling back sooner? Massage not really working. Massage the nerve area or massage the numb area? B Vitamins were recomended to heal the nerve.
Hello Doctor, I had a block dental graft three months ago, and still have numbness around the bone graft area, lip, gum and near nose .is this normal? will I get the feeling back in those areas ..No pain though..Thank you! Will be seeing my dentist in a month, so I will keep mentioning this, although didn't seem too concerned ..
My Dr explained the stages of swelling would advance from day 1 to day 3. Then quickly be back close to normal within 4 days. She did no tell me that on the 3rd day, I would look like Martin Lawrence when he boxed the professional boxer!😂 I looked crazy. Black eye bruises and all
@angelitahussein5045 For me the bone graft took about 9 weeks (on xray) to heal. I also took multivitamins during this whole implant process. And yes the swelling was so shocking.😂 good luck
bone graft is just cadaver bone ground up and put in the jaw bone socket for an implant after the tooth is removed , 3 months later they put the crown on . no pain no big deal only hurt is in the pocket book .
there is synthetic graph material that dentists can use, There is always a possibility of disease transfer if you use some other cadaver for bone donation
Gong in a week to have a failed root canal tooth extracted and a bone graft. I told the endodontist that some pain was still there 2 weeks later. They went ahead and capped it anyway. Been mild pain for 5 years. Now they say it's got to be yanked. They should have done it in the 1st place. By the time I'm done , I'll have a $7k dollar tooth.
It's about money. You shouldn't have had any pain after that.its not normal. They probably didn't fill the canals or the tooth had a crack in it from the crown .
All of my root canals failed and turned into infections with having to have them pulled years later. Always had a little pain since procedure but they let it be. Huge scam. If I ever need one again, id tell them to yank and not look back.
@@lcfflc3887 Lifetime is a long time unless you want to die quickly. They last, true. Amalgam also can lead to cracks in the tooth. So overall, no surprise that they are phased out in the dentistry and many dental universities do not even teach them any longer .
Maxilary tori is not normal. It is not. It's like saying bunions are nornal. They develop for a reason and their influence to the entire system are much greater than one can imagine.
I had a bone graft done the other day. I thought it was going to be so painful but it didn’t even hurt. Just felt sim mild pressure. I didn’t even have to take the ibuprofen they prescribed me. I’ve just taken the amoxicillin they’ve given me to prevent any infection. If you have a great dentist, it’ll be fine! It’s WAY better than a tooth extraction omg now THAT was painful for me.
Girl I just left the dentist and omg they just extracted my back tooth and when I say it was a lot of pressure it made me so shaky and nervous 😢 I was crying and everything I begged them to let my husband come in the back w me. How long did it take u to heal up? I'm not hurting too much but it does kinda burn a bit but I got my 800 mg ibuprofen 😊 I'm so glad i got all of that out the way Jeezus Christttt that was not fun at all! Please people take care of ur teeth 😢
@@gypsyy897 omg girl yes. When I got my extraction, I was crying in the chair!! The assistant let me hold her hand lol. It took about a month to heal up then dentist realized I needed a bone graft. ( a lot of pressure as well but not too bad because the nerve of the tooth is gone in the area.) he added the screw that day as well. (You’ll get numbed) that took a month to heal. I had my follow up last week! Got a mold taken for my crown now on august 3rd I go have the crown put on. Just make sure you keep your gums and the area of the missing tooth clean!!!!! You got this girl!!! I’ve always taken care of my teeth but I chipped a really old filling eating ice 😩
you are a lucky one, my mouth was swollen like two big potatos stuffed in it. Extreme pain for 3 days minimum, only had liquids for those days. Para and ibro every day every 4 hours + anti biotics,
My dentist said I can not do a bone graft. He did not explain why I just think he did not want me to go to another dentist to get me implant . He just wanted the money
FYI: NOTHING WILL HURT AS BAD AS A COUPLE HOURS AFTER THIS TREATMENT! Whitening strips will do the same and it's cheaper, it just takes more time but it's still the way to go.
Thank you very much for your instructional videos. I am scheduled on Monday for a bone graft without extraction in central Florida. I do not feel I was educated on the procedure regarding the method and materials to be used, or about pain management and post op care and had to call and ask. I’m feeling nervous about it. I hate to cancel but I’m not feeling confident.
I’m on the morning of day 4 and I’m dying in pain I have had 3 kids and I would say the pain when not on Advil is very comparable to contractions in the mouth it’s terrible I didn’t know it was this painful
So it’s not all I’m my head. I am not supposed to take ibuprofen per GI doc. I broke down and took 200mg. I am assuming dentist and oral surgeons are taking the blame for the opioid epidemic.
