PIPPIN is a high-flying, death-defying hit musical full of extraordinary acrobatics, wondrous magical feats and soaring songs from the composer of WICKED.
I played Theo in Pippin almost two years ago, and it was the best show of my life. I got to meet so many people, and got miked for the first time. I made a lot of friends. I really recommend this show and I would do it again if I could.
My favorite opening number of any Broadway show... so beautifully done here by everyone. I was lucky to see this production. Love that it's been recorded with modern technology... I LOVE THIS!!!
It looks like they filmed this version. Any chance we’ll see this on streaming or physical media? I’d love to have been able to see this presentation. The existing taped version is chopped up.
I remember this like it was yesterday, what a great time I had, one of the biggest highlights in my life. I’m so thankful you gave everyone the opportunity to do this ❤️
I wish they’d film every broadway show so those of us who don’t make it to Broadway for multiple weeks every year could still enjoy the magic of these shows.
My high school is doing Pippin and I’m so exited! The problem is, I know nothing about the show. Who should I audition for? I’m a female soprano/alto and I’m a professionally trained singer. I’m comfortable with a lead role too!
LOL! I was casted as Berthe’s understudy but then the person playing her quit so I got the role! I’m so happy that I get to play this part considering I’m only a freshman!
I saw this tour, I don't remember them being miked It's a mediocre show with a remarkable opening. It loses steam real fast. I also saw it in the '70s and the although the new production is by far the better one, the music is just boring - lots of trite lyrics about eagles soaring - if that sort of thing is for you, this is your show
My towns highschool put on a performance of Pippin and it was phenomenal and now I wish I could watch it again because they did a beautiful job but they haven’t posted their video of it yet so I’m watching other things lol
God i was 11 years old when i saw this. I was in total awe of the show and Patina in particular is one of the people who inspired me (and still is) to do this as a career. 😇
Such a good song! My acting troupe did this number to open their version of Shakespeare's Tempest;: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pw9t0Vb9gB4.html
i would KILL to watch a pro shot of this show, unfortunately i didn’t know this show existed until a few months ago (although i am in a production of it as a part of the ensemble, but fastrada is my dream role 🥺🥺)
