Dolce Dawn /Dōl-chā Dôn/ proper noun 1. a reformed tomboy who just loves being a girl!
Dolce’s Dial /Dōl-chās Dī-ul/ proper noun 1. where Dolce will be talking about a variety of things. 2. a dandy little channel where there’s bound to be something you like.
So now that you’re “dialed in”, care to take a gander?
Say that, Dolce! It's been time the shenanigans stop! God is not pleased and right now it's not just a clean up on aisle nine. No, God is doing major house cleaning right now and He's going through with a fine broom. Judgment begins in the house of God but, in 2024 the world is being exposed as well. We had better wake up and make our calling and election sure!
Agreed. Some folks need an Emmy award. Yelling, sweating and running in the church. I'm a fitness enthusiast, and if it were suggested they _slow trott ONE block_ in their neighborhood they'd refuse to do it🥵 😅
Happy Sunday Dolce ! 👼🏽 Nowadays it is hard to decipher when a person is actually "happy in the spirit" or a distracting performance. You are correct to state that HE knows your heart , and knows who is fake or not. 🙏🏽🙏🏽 Amen!
Happy Sunday, Sandra! Amen! God knows our hearts and knows who’s shouting in the spirit and who’s just making noise for attention. And the latter needs to sat down! 🙏🏾♥️
Amen and Amen! I call it theatrics! Stopped visiting many churches because of it. And yes it's distracting. Love your video as usual! Wishing you a great Sunday! 💜
@DolceDawn I saw in another that Precise no lye relaxer 😄 I have the same application style as yours,no gloves or the use of an applicator brush/sprush..I need to feel the new growth with my bare fingers!
Thee most beautiful relaxed hair on RU-vid!! So healthy looking, with shine and movement. Loves it😍. I am curious Dolce, do you wear your hair wrapped up for most of the work day? I find that since I go to work and I wear my hair out, it dries out about 3-4 days after my weekly wash day.
Thank you so much!! ☺️ And funny you ask because this past week I kept it wrapped - only taking my hair down for virtual work meetings. But I do try and wear it out as much as possible. If using the right products, your hair should maintain its moisture until next wash day.
@@DolceDawn Ahh ok. That's the key! I don't work from home, so I can't keep my hair wrapped during the day. One day I will work from home full-time and that will be great for my hair! Thanks for answering.
Hi Dolce! It's been a minute since I talked about my hair but I do love yours. It's truly beautiful. I can honestly say the regimen that I'm working with is truly good for my hair. My length is way past the shoulders, semi mid-back lane. I'm a senior citizen in my early sixties and with age and medications, my hair has suffered over the last 5 years. A perm it now every 4 months and I'm also taking Geritol which has truly helped me. I went from shoulder length see through hair to like I said semi mid-back. I also stopped using semi-permanent dye. I learned to embrace my gray hair which I love now. Again I am truly happy with the results and my hair is very very healthy.
Thank you, Renee! ☺️ And I’m so happy to hear you’re in a good place with your hair and loving your hair journey! Embracing your grays is the extra cherry in the top. Loving this update. Thanks for sharing! 👍🏾♥️
Hi Dolce, I have been seeing some crazy breakage and split ends and I figured out the cause. This early summer/late spring I started adding moisturizer and oil to my hair from the ears down every few days. Turns out adding water to my hair randomly was not as good as RU-vidrs say. My hair has see through bits and the breakage went all the way up until I caught it in some places more than 17 inches:( So I have stopped doing that foolishness and I am using bond builders and protein treatments to strengthen my hair. Of course there was some cutting and I continue to trim where it needs it. I am deferring my 6 month relaxer until the hair is stronger so will got to 9 months before relaxing. I will go back to lots of moisturizing products on wash day and increase my wash days to keep my hair moisturized versus adding it outside of wash day. That has worked for years and proves I need to stay away from trendy BS!
Hey, girl! That’s what I’m talking about - owning your journey. Yep, a lot of those trends come and go, but you gotta stick to what works. Thanks for checking in with this update! 💪🏾💁🏾♀️
Totally agree! My hair is unprocessed, thick and hard with stubborn licks and waves. This Theorie helichrysium shampoo and conditioner softens well without being heavy. I can actually let my hair air dry without it looking like a hay stack! When I am running low, I mix a little into other brands and it is still effective. Nothing else I have used can do what helichrysium does for my hair. Angel En Provence makes a helichrysium set too. Also works great.
Hey, Eva! Yes, Theorie’s Helichrysum is amazing, isn’t it?! Always good to hear from a fellow fan. ;0) Now, I haven’t heard of Angel En Provence, but I may have to check them out as well. Thanks for the recommendation! 👍🏾♥️
Thank you so much, Fay! You’re still journeying and that’s OK because ias long as you’re doing all the right things for your hair, you WILL reach your destination! 💪🏾♥️
Beautiful results. Hair grow back so fast. I’ve found a stylist and decided to be a straight hair natural. I’m about shoulder length hoping to be APL by December.
Thank you, ms chelle! Wow, APL by December is an ambitious goal - I love it! And good for you in deciding to be a straight hair natural. Appreciate this update. #Letsgo 💪🏽💁🏾♀️
Dating has not as exciting as it used to be. So many mind games. Men have loss their manners and feel like you have to chase them. Welp they have the wrong one here.
Your hair always looks so beautiful. I am currently struggling with getting shine in my hair. I have tried a clear rinse, olapex no.3, silicon mix, and 2 hair gloss serums. Nothing has worked for me. I don’t know what I could do to revive it and give it some life. Hopefully hair will get its act together lol
Hey, Jay! I'm sorry to hear you’re struggling with getting shine. Do you use heat? If so, ceramic flat irons are great for adding shine. If not, roller setting with a good setting lotion will do the trick as well as serums and wrapping hair in a silk/satin scarf. Clarifying your hair helps to get rid of shine reducing buildup… But as long as it’s not damaged, we can definitely find a solution and get your hair to shine. ✨
@@DolceDawn I’m relaxed but it’s fairly healthy. I think heat might be the problem. I don’t use much heat because I’m scared of damaging my heat. Typically what heat setting or range do you use?
Sigh.. The intro/outros are nostalgic. ❤ Please don't change it ever. 😁 My update is ditching sulfate-free shampoos and sticking with the tried and true ORS shampoo and a good deep conditioner (Aussie, and ORS as needed). Sulfate-free ain't for me lol Also learning to use less leave-in conditioner and going back to hot oil treatments with tea tree oil. Clarifying my hair recently woke me up (and my strands) to how much it was suffering from product build up. The thickness has returned! The new shower filter helped a lot and clarifying sealed the deal. 🙌. Love your channel!
Hey, Relis! Yay! I’m glad you’re digging the intros/outros! 🤗 I'm also happy to hear you’re adjusting and going back to what works best for your hair. And, yes, clarifying now and again can do wonders in getting our hair back on track. Sounds like you’ve hit your stride. Good for you! Thanks for this update! P.S. I love that you’re loving the channel and appreciate you being a part of this whole journey to “betterness”. Thank you!! ♥️
Good Evening Dolce. Gorgeous Hair! My hair is thriving. Its healthy and reaches my shoulder blades in the back. I'm not happy enough though.. So many years trying to get to bra strap length and I'm not there yet. Perhaps I've reached my genetically determined length.... I'm still hopeful though.
Good evening, Judy! Thank you! Im happy to hear that your hair is thriving and I don’t want you to get discouraged with its length. If you can reach your shoulder blades then you can reach bra strap. We may have to do a deeper dive and analyze your regimen, but you CAN reach your desired length! We got this!! 💪🏾💁🏾♀️👍🏾
Thank you, Latonya! I use Helichrysum Shampoo and Conditioner by Theorie. My full regimen and related vids are listed on the full version of this vid, if interested. 💁🏾♀️♥️
You’ve been my own personal motivation to care for my hair for the longest time. Everytime I need a boost I run straight to your channel. Your hair is fabulous. Is your touch up schedule still every 8 weeks?
Your hair looks great! I’ve cut to the “white meat” and am doing the routine. So I’m impatiently waiting for some growth. 😂 Also, I’ve gotten the Theorie products and they are AMAZING! A Q&A would be great esp since I’m re-learning how to care for relaxed hair (been natural foe several years).
Thank you, GodsyGirl! Starting with a clean slate, huh? That’s what I’m talking about - Yay! And you like the Theorie products - double Yay!! 👍🏾👍🏾 And thanks for your feedback regarding a Q&A. Yeah, I figure it may be good to actually open up the floor to some questions… We’ll see what happens. 😉
Wow! How long did it take you to grow your hair like this? Edit: The middle part is difficult for me too! How do you prevent breakage. I don't even do heat anymore and and still experiencing breakage and shedding.
Hey, kaym.2854! Hmm… well, including a couple of setbacks, I would say it’s been about 4 years since starting my hair journey. And me keeping a trimming schedule has really helped my middle part - actually, ALL parts - with breakage. I also wrap my hair at night, too.
Your hair looks fabulous as always. And yeah I like to section the hair in four when I do relaxers it feels easier for me. Thanks again Dolce for sharing 😊
Hello Dolce ! 👋🏽 Your hair is looking mighty good 👌🏽loving the glow and the flow (don't fight the feeling cause waist length is a coming!!) Roll call 📣📣 I am currently at 7 weeks and most likely will relax either at 8 or 9 weeks. This time around noticed more hair growth and hair has grown beyond my preferred BSL length. After relaxing plan on trimming it back to BSL.
Hey, Sandra! 👋🏽 Thank you!! And I will definitely take your advice and NOT fight the feeling anymore. LOL And, Yay!! I’m so happy to hear you’re getting such great growth! Loving this update, girl! Thanks for sharing! 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾♥️
Hey, BionAvastar3000! Thank you, ma dear! 🤗 I guess I have to wait until the holidays to hear your official length, but the question is WHAT holiday? Thanksgiving? Christmas? I wanna know!!!!!! 💁🏾♀️💁🏾♀️ #hairtwinsies?
Hi Miss Dolce! your hair still looking fabulous as always! (This my youtube page that I hardly use, the other one is that profile pic of my hubby and I, you probably recognize me lol!) But any way, I durn messed up and got some braids this past summer, and that synthetic hair did some damage I tell ya! My hair had breakge and looks thin in some parts, my newgrowth thick and full though, so atleast it shows that it grew. So, to try to get my hair back on track, I started back using my keracare humecto creme conditioner with each wash ( I leave in for atleast an hour) I also am using the keracare hydrating shampoo. I still use my theorie shampoo and conditioner twice a month. Leave-ins I use the keracare detangling conditioning mist. Oh, and I tried out that keracare silkn seal liquid sheen spray as a heat protectant and my hair loves it! Leaves my hair feeling nice and looking salon glossy! It was alil pricey though lol! But I still will use my silk elements heat protectant spray back and forth. That's my update, hope you are having a wonderful week so far!
Hey, Lauren! I see you, girl! 😉 Oh, noooooooo! Im sorry to hear about the breakage. That synthetic hair can be rough on ours, but I like your bounce back strategy. And I JUST threw away my Silken Seal bottle a few weeks ago! (It was really old. lol) I loved it, too! Good stuff. 👍🏾 I appreciate you keeping me updated and hope you have a great rest of the week, sweetheart! ♥️
@@DolceDawn Thankyou so much! You as well! Now I don't know which heat protectant is my favorite between the keracare silken seal spray or the silk elements heat protectant spray. Didn't think the keracare one was gonna be all that but I was fooled lol! They both got the name silk in it and live up to their names 😁
Hey Dolce, I been back and forth with levelling out my hair. I noticed a little breakage at the nape and decided to trim that to the white meat. After doing that I keep feeling conscious of the length compared to the rest of my hair. So tempted to level it all put to the length of the nape as plan is to grow it as long as I can - well at least to shoulder length at the moment. I'm trying yo aim for the blunt cut lob. My hair does not have its thickness as it used to and so the longer it is getting the more obvious that I have fine (healthy) hair. Decisions...decisions🤔
Hey, MrsD! I hear you. I will say that it may prove frustrating to try and keep the nape area the same length as the rest of your hair as the nape typically grows slower and is, therefore, usually shorter (unless you keep a short bob). Mine is. But I’m glad you trimmed/cut it because it WILL help it flourish. And since your hair is fine, you may want to opt for a bob with some light layers to make it look fuller. Just a suggestion… But you said it right: decisions, decisions. lol I appreciate this update and please keep me posted. 👍🏾♥️
@@DolceDawn Hey!! I appreciate your advice. I've made the decision to cut it back to the level of the nape area as that's where I feel my hair is at its healthiest and fullest. Health over length for me❤.
I’m 4 weeks post relaxer 😊 I’m planning on not trimming my hair for the next 3 months (1 month so far) because it’s looks uneven in some areas! But I’m taking great care of it 👏🏾 You hair is goals as always ❤
Hey, Bokuwatoki5983! Thank you!! ☺️♥️ Hmm… As you can guess, that makes me a little nervous (not trimming for 3 mos.), so please take extra care and keep an eye on those ends that they don’t get worse. Thanks for the update and I look forward to your next one. 💁🏾♀️👍🏾
Excellent reveal yet again. You're doing absolutely well. I'm almost 5 weeks post and planning a 12 week stretch for the second time this year. I'm still in recovery mode from severely being iron deficient. I'm taking my medications religiously, though I haven't noticed any marked difference in how cold I feel as it's autumn over here. Thanks for sharing your updates 🎉
Hey, Empress_Glory! Thank you so much! Yes, please continue to take your meds as iron deficiency is no joke. Here’s to an easy relaxer stretch (only 7 more weeks to go! 🤗) and thanks for sharing! 👍🏾♥️
I tried aphogee 2 step treatment and moisture balancer last night with my relaxer (20 wks stretch) Not sure if it has made a difference yet but I recently found out my iron levels are low which explains why I’ve been having trouble with my hair breaking and feeling oddly brittle
Hey, Indi! Yes, the same thing happened to me. My hair felt strangely dry and stiff when I was anemic. Please take care of your iron levels and let me know if that treatment ends up making a difference with your hair. ♥️
Hello Dolce Dawn, I dont know how you showed up in my feed but I am soo glad you did. That was a fun and refreshing review. You are good friend.❤ Lol.😂 I truly enjoyed your humor and personality. I am looking forward to your content. I will have to go and binge watch to catch up. Tfs.
Those dating apps are a total waste of time and I think it causes people to undervalue others because there are so many other "options" Good luck to those who actually established a healthy relationship! Totally agree with what you said. And when people think like that it creates an inequality in the relationship- as though one person is deserving of more or something. That's why I don't like that the wedding day is about the woman as though it's her day only. don't want to go down that rabbit hole, but it's superficial.
Hey, kaym.2854! I’ve only known ONE person to have success from a dating app (she married him), but clearly the dating app life is not for me. lol And even though I believe that most think of the wedding day as the “bride’s day” because women are the ones that’ve been dreaming about it since they were little girls (most men haven’t and are just satisfied with showing up! lol), I hear what you’re saying and agree: the wedding day is and should be about them both. Yes, indeed. 👍🏾
Hello Dolce Yes I’m a traditionalist as well. Things change but I too would not propose to a man. Roles have diminished and sadly some girls have taken on the role of head of house. I can go on about this subject but you said it well. I want to feel protected and supported. You are wise in your years. Have a blessed day!💖
Happy Sunday Dolce. Yes it’s been a little while and as always I enjoy your topics and your advice on the subject. Everyone has a different opinion and that is why you should be careful when you date. You are so right. Both people should feel like they won a prize. Prayerfully no game playing etc. I pray you nothing but success in all your relationships. Have a blessed evening.💖
