I am a long time horology LOVER and somewhat a collector, meaning I love anything from simple quartz watches to mechanical masterpieces. Horology is my hobby, but I have gained some knowledge over the years and want to share both my joy and knowledge of watches thru reviews and tutorials in which I try to be as detailed and as accurate as possible, which means my videos sometimes include details and descriptions only people with a serious WIS disorder can handle and watch all the way from beginning to the end :)
I don't know about historical accuracy, but the ST-19 movement is a DISASTER!!!! So far I have bought 2 brand new watches with this movement. The first watch worked for about 2 hours from when I took it out of the box and it just stopped. The second one worked for about 3 weeks and I had almost decided everything was fine until the chronograph function failed (the rest works). The repair costs more than the watch and it all goes in the GARBAGE. On the other hand - I have a Poljot Aviator I with caliber 3133 for 5 years - works perfectly, no problems!
$710? 🤔 I have an excellent and unique (!) diver with this movement - Straton Tourer Triple Calendar. Four years ago it cost me under $500. And I thought that was expensive!!! I can hear "the inflation" argument, but this is manufactured in Asia... and somehow San Martin makes high quality watches in the $200-300 range, and IXDAO is downright spectacular at $300-400, they can even do it with Sellita and ETA. I just don't see where the money is going in WISE watches... I suspect their pure profit is 50% or more 😕
Think battery died... Been fun*#@ing with this thing for 4hrs & his looks close but he never says why he is setting sub dial to 9 or 50.... Mine says "over" in that sub dial too.. plus all the numbers!!
Wanted to say good video but can't!!! Ever time I hit lower button to try to follow vid... My suggestion is take it to someone that's what I'll do... Spent 2hrs on this shit so far... & Watch was given to me!! Piece of crap!
Why they didn't put the better buttons on this and the upgraded screen that the metal ones get, baffles me.. it would be an instant buy for me in that case.
I wanted it so bad that I offered $3000 over the asking, but then the AD called and in picked up the Starbucks and smooth mint Green Day just. Now I see the prices have dropped and will just wait until I feel like pulling the trigger
