Me thinks you need bigger Chain, my friend. Most Railroads kept 'Coupler Chains' in Locomotives for when a Coupler or Knuckle broke in the Train you could chain up the Car and move it to a set out location. They are 3/4" HD Chains, about 12' =20' long with Hooks on the ends, or Oval eye on one end and chain hook on the other end. They're too heavy for today's workforce and are now being replaced with Web Slings. Should be able to find some cheap if you can find a scrapper that works with Railroads. Can use as-is or link a few together with quick-links. But they are heavy....

Wow that was very loose! I had one on a D8K that didn’t pop at 100T. Had to wail on it with a sledge and pulling with a 100T on it before it went! And BOY DID IT GO!! Even when your expecting it, still gives you a good Jump! Lol. I just went tonight to look at a D6C, that needs some attention. The right side sprocket is noticeably sitting crooked and leaking oil all over the place. Likely its toast. 😉
Hey Charlie where you been.Realized a little while ago haven't seen a video posted lately.Thinking maybe you got tired of making videos and just decided to get on with life.Miss your videos with your humor and wit.The ones where you and Chris get together are great.Hope life is going well for you.
You beet all! I'd never thought! The part on education, I agree all the way. I have the education but I learned mostly everything about equipment and grading by being born in the industry and watching the older men that worked for my family and how to fix workout equipment because that's all we had then.
I actually only met him a few times, we have a mutual friend and he was doing a job near Holly Ridge and needed a place to dump and get dirt but everyone that I know that knows him says he's a number one person!@@copperheadmarine
Please never take this video down. The only time I get to hear anything similar in person is when we use 4-71 powered 400hz generators at work. Not quite the same.
