There are a lot of card that should get an animation, but Konami for some reason don't animate them. Just to name a few: Saryuja, Red Dragon Abyss, Dis Pater, Red Supernova Dragon, Red Archfiend King Calamity, Cosmic Blazar Dragon, Visas Amritara, all four Dragon Rulers, Dragunity Gram, Red-Eyes Metaldragon, Crystalwing, Crystal Clearwing Synchrodragon, Naturia Exterio, Borrelend Dragon, Chaofeng, Qixing Longyuan, Rainbow Overdragon, Crystal Rainbowdragon Overdrive, Five Headed Dragon, Unchained Yama, Maxx C and there are probably at least 50 more, but these are ones I play.
So many archetypes with multiple monster with animation and 2 of my favorite doesnt even have one. Harpies lacking one at least for the Synchro Harpie Lady and Dragunity deservers at least 2 for each of their Lv 10 Synchros.
It's so annoying how DMG, High Priestess of Prophecy and so many other iconic cards get left in the dirt while Amazement, F.A, Fossils and lesser ilk get summoning animations Oh and Dark Magician is missing his anime art for these summons too what the heck!?
All Yu-Gi-Oh Rival Ace have an Animation (and/or sometime it's their Boss monster) and yet none of the D/D/D have one, and for insult to injury, Doom King Armageddon is not even UR rarity.
I remember how happy I was to see Gaia the Magical Knight of Dragons' animation given that at first he didn't have one. Seeing him thrust his lance at the camera is super epic and I'll never get tired of it.
As a Vennominaga player I feel your pain. A nifty animation as a reward for the hoops you gotta go through for an overly gimmicky win card would be great.
As far as I know its a reference to a japanese folk tale where a person killed a dog (in yugiohs case, ash blossom) because he got greedy because of what the dog could bring to her owners. Her stopping you from negating a search/special summon/mill is a reference to that type of greed
