I have a quick question. I saw that you change the filter for the DCT and you did not have a O-ring or replace any type of O-ring. Does the DCT filter need any type of O-ring at the end before you screw in the cover? Because I recently got an oil change on my bike and it started leaking oil from that area. I would really appreciate a response back. Thank you
So I hope I understand your question , If you watch the video around the 8:50 mark , you can see that when the 2 screws come off , there is only a spring that pushes the filter back onto the engine , the back of the DCT filter has a built in oil seal as seen on the video ....... Where the cover attaches , there is no gasket or seal , however as I stated , that cover as well as the housing the cover fits into is delicate and soft metal so if someone used a screwdriver to get the DCT filter out and damaged that area it would most certainly leak oil .... But if that is not the case and everything is unharmed , there should not be any oil leaking.
Hi I recently purchased all the parts I need to do the first service on my 2024 Honda Rebel CMX1100.. the Honda dealer sold me: 1) Oil Filter 2) DCT Filter 3) 2 x sealing washers for the oil drain plug and the dct oil drain plugs 4) A rubber o ring (that I assume goes onto the cap for the DCT Filter. So I assume yes there is a rubber seal on the DCT cover but mine is a 2024 model you mentioned yours was 2021?? So maybe this was added on the newer models??
Btw nice video I have never done an oil change on a DCT so I was totally unsure how it's done.. thanks for the help.. Now I just have to wait for the bike to arrive.. get 600 miles on it then I can do the first service.. lol I like planning ahead I am not even getting the bike delivered for another week and half. 😂

Thanks. I actually just ordered 2 of these about 10 minutes before I have seen your video. They were cheaper at supply house. These are gas filled and can be installed at any position.

Please tell me why that makes a difference ? What exactly would that information do for you ? I mean you are using 1 oil for both engine and transmission , You will drain both plugs and then replace filters and fill one hole ....... ???? So what does me telling you which drain plug is for engine and which one is for DCT help ?

Been using this for a year. Outside speakers around the house (polk speakers) Volume through bluetooth is low, about half of the fm receiver. Bluetooth gets loud enough for me but it wont blow the neighbor out. Bluetooth range is about 25 going through 2 walls. Thats the downside for me if its even an issue
I haven't really noticed the Bluetooth issues , However there was an instance where someone paired their phone to the bluetooth and volume was low , turned out it was an android device and once we raised the volume on the phone it was fine. try that , attach , play a song and use the side volume keys on the device and raise the volume, hope that helps.
Great video. I really love the concept, however I live in the north east with the hot water tank in the basement, I am concerned that during the winter months the pump would constantly run especially at night when the house temperature is set lower. Any suggestions?
so what I did at my house was not a perfect science by any means , But the Inkbird is super awesome with the APP , what I would suggest is get it all installed and just keep an eye on it for some weeks and find a temperature that you can set for it to come on that works for you , the Inkbird is very accurate and works great at turning the pump on and off without fail. you did it incorrectly , you have to do it immediatly after you are done using it , if you use goof off at that point there is no way any foam would remain since it is still not hardened.

I am curious if you actually watched your gas burners come on while the pump was on and circulating while nothing was being used? I plan to test my electric water heater for that scenario. What I have been doing is, turning on pump for a few minutes. Get in shower and turn off pump. I have it connected to a smart switch, all I have to do is say, alexa, turn on hot water. Just wanted your thoughts. I have been looking for this video for a while. lol

@@shortypalmer2560 ooh sorry , I misunderstood ...... So I haven't really monitored it ....... But here is what I have noticed , you turn the shower on full HOT , pump turns on because the temp at the return side drops ...... Pump runs while we shower or use hot water around the house , after all the hot water taps turn off takes around 20-30 mins for the return side to get hot again which means that there is hot water all through the house and the InkBird see's the temp go up and turns that plug off so down goes the pump until the next time the Hot water is turned on.
its a long run in the attic down , we here in Texas don't really have basements , I wish we did ......... and I would say for my shower to the Hot water heater is a good 40 feet if not a little more.

Add it to your cold water side I just put one in today I had to make a recirculation loop on the cold water side so the pump doesn't cavitate and we have a long run to the upstairs tub and the hot water is there in 25 seconds I had to put a circulation pump in to get more volume of water and it boost's the water pressure a bit we have a tankless water heater that needs more water volume so this works great better than buying a 500.00 pressure tank I live in Canada btw
Correct , this is a cheap , portable device for lightweight tasks that stays connected even when you aren't near Wifi , great for taking Teams calls for work , email and chat.
