People criticize Pam for Jim's sacrifice but it's really all about sacrifice and understanding. Jim sacrificed his career for their family and later did Pam when they were both ready. Some people need to know this.
In the Office Ladies podcast a teary Jenna Fischer explains that the note was a heartfelt one written from him to her. John to Jenna, not Jim to Pam. Reflecting on nine years together. Only John and Jenna know what is in that note. Her cohost and best friend Angela Kinsey doesn’t, the remaining cast and crew don’t either. Pam says in the episode that it was perfect but she’ll never reveal what it said. Jenna said she would stay true to that too but we should just know it was perfect. But she did say the note made her so emotional that the first take was not usable.
This is my all time favorite scene from the office. I still watch it every now and then. Funny thing is, I used to think myself as Jim and I've a friend whom I call Dwight sometimes...
Season 8 was boring, the way the destroy Andy's character was illogical, and frankly the first episodes of Season 9 were extremely repetitive and ridiculous, however, this scene was great redemption towards the end of the series.
Jim & Pam are the perfect embodiment of "Pure, magical love" 🤩😍 No matter how difficult the situations were, they never gave up on their relationship, trusted each other, and made an impregnable bond over time! Epic series with a beautiful ending.
Jenna fischer said in the office ladies podcast that the note was written by john and that it was a thank you note to jenna from him and it was so good and heartfelt that she broke down in the first take
