Bad ideathe CMP 170 HX need extreme coolling snce they have no jams or blower themselvs. Setting the Octomner or other Server fans nonstop to 100 % destroys them. And unless you have bought the 170 HX brand new that is a potentially dangerous move. Exchanging 3070’s for new 4070 Super on the other hand is a good move @ the whole Profitability will cone back as soon as tve Elections are behind us & not just Crypto but also other financial markets will recover.
Aquire cheap ddr4 motherboards and cpus i5/i7 or R5/R7 get some cheap but fancy cases and flip those cards in gaming pcs youll make 2/3x the return... Second at your power rate i would go 170hx and Asics 50/50 staying diversified maybe a small rig of 3070ms from china lol
Home asics with low power? Maybe that is what I’ll invest in, but again, they are just becoming more and more irrelevant as bigger miners for centralised corps are produced
Yea I hear that, but it's one of the reasons I like ethhash Asics so much, little more resistance to getting pushed out because there's so many coins to mine.
Sell them all, let go and start again. That’s my plan, I cannot wait to sell EVERYTHING I have, coins, tokens, gpu, cpu everything. Then see if I still want to do crypto. PS I will keep my cpus

Thanks for the review! Are you also able to run it in a pool for a trickle of btc instead of solo? If so how does the efficiency compare to some of the other enrty level options like the new nano 3? Trying to find the best starter option to dip my toes in
@@Chris-Holden as far as I'm aware it's solo only, I have not acquired a nano 3 but I'm working on it. So I like the nerdaxe over the bit axe as a starter miner because there's more info on the screen. It honestly felt super easy to use, took me maybe 30 min to get it working, but most of that was trying find a good spot to put it. Remember they only work on 2.4 ghz wifi
Thanks for the video! Quick question, does it automatically record to the sd card if it detects movement? Does it inform me when there’s movement? I really wanna get it but just gotta make sure no subscription is needed for those 2 features.

Question does the graphics card come with all these cables needed? Or do i have to get them separately? If so how many of what kind cables do i need? Thanks I know little about pcs
As someone who’s built their first PC TODAY, the power supply comes with all the cables you need, and the graphics card will come with the adapter you need (if one is needed) 😊
i have a rx 470 nitro sapphire mining edition at least it have two fan, i bought it for only 27$ and it need to flash to another bios version but i think it's a best gpu for only around 30$
I did some testing actually(because of salad testing) and most PC I have still around 50 to 60 watts at idle, and at 0,05$ KWH barely worth it to shut it down, but yes good idea if I left the house for a couple of days but usually not worth it in my situation.

Question for ya, if you never gpu mined before and wanted to start would you say the pcsp cases are the way to go? or should i buy the standard octo ultra 8 for double the price. I want to use a server case 100%. This could be a stupid question but can these be rackmounted? it looks to be much wider than 19 inches, and from all the videos i've seen I don't think i've seen them racked. One more thing, can these fans be replaced with quieter 4 pin pwm fans? and if so safely? I have a squad of the be quiet silent wings pro 4's I'd like to use in something lol Thanks kr00t mang!

@@kr00tman That's ok, if i could see the motherboard model or bios, probably could figure it out. Sometimes it's called resizable bar. I believe Asrock calls it clever access memory (cam). I know you are hella busy, but if you get a chance if you could, message me the model number and name of the mainboard, or take a look in the bios it would be great. I got a temperamental Asrock h510 pro btc+ that doesn't like to live in a case but supports the feature. I just would like to find something more turnkey. I figured if this one supports the feature, I would order it instead. since its got case, ps, board.
do ch170hx fit one next to another? Since you are mostly pushing air through them, a tighter grouping may work better. If it does, you can totally fit 10 of them in that case (limited by power cables, unless you like to live dangerously;-)
@@kr00tman I have been using "deep in the mines" 8pin to two 8-pin splitters for GPUs, they are solid (on amazon, I am not affiliated or anything). For mobo risers, any regular splitters should do, they are not pulling much.
I have an EVGA 1070 FTW in my current PC and it’s a great looking card. Has the same cooler as in the video. Unfortunately, I don’t think they made a 1080 ti with that same shroud and RGB for some reason so you might be out of luck
@@kingjester2382 yea I just pulled one out of a system yesterday!! Sick GPU!! I had a 1080ti from EVGA a while ago but I sold it, and now I need it back haha
I desperately am trying to scrape together funds to build my first 8 card rig especially since, like you said gpu mining is "dead" I think this could be a golden opportunity. Lets hope! let me ask you this, besides price is there a benefit to running 8 (or 12) of the same card? Which card over all of them would you use if you were buying a full set (8-12) Not the best of the best but which makes the most sense? Thanks kr00t mang! -Xaio
