Hey guys. This channel is all about life skills, whether that is personal finance, maintenance or having fun with friends and family. I will strive to make the videos short and sweet and I really hope it either helps or teaches you something. Enjoy!
unless you want to spend thousands for sail supports, shade cloth is the way to go ....very little support needed and will block 70 - 90 percent sun while allowing wind and rain through .....cant stay dry sitting under it in rain but will stop the sun and probably last 2-3 years....im doing 30x30 patio with 2 shade cloths to leave decent furniture protected from uv, stop glare on tv, and cool things down...i just got 3 20x30 cloths on sale at amazon for 22 bucks each ...disposable at that price
Fantastic project, my only concern would be the rain as you mentioned and I think it would have been better to have it initially lower on the far end all the time, instead of having to move it when it rains. I realize your house isn’t all that tall and you’re limited on the height and the pitch you can achieve, but to have it at an angle from the jump would save you a lot of hassle in the long run.
Not a bad build sir. Have you had issues with burning up the 12v when working higher than 1 story houses? The soft wash depot proportioner... Had it a week and tossed it. You are on the right track, keep it up.
I just bought and assembled the WEN Table for my new planer. For the money, I can’t imagine a better built table for a small shop. It does take take some assembly time but is well worth it. I’ll buy another of these table for my miter saw.
Had some time now to use the planer & stand. I couldn’t be happier. I’ve got a small garage shop, CNC , table saw etc. The planer work ex@Carly as I had hoped. My only minor gripe is the dust and chip collection could be better on the front side. Heed their advice about using gloves when cleaning the cutter head. The blades are very sharp, I have a new box of band aids in the shop now.
Hi this is really helpful! What if you’re trying to fence in an area of your yard that you isn’t near grass so you can’t put those stabilizer poles in? The part we are trying to extend is from the house door to edge of garage where fenced in area starts, and that area is all concrete driveway. Thanks!
Ah yeah this won't work in my yard. This might be no dig for you, but it wouldn't be for me. I can't pound any kind of stake into the ground more than three or four inches before I hit rock. Doesn't matter where or how deep i dig in my 1.5 acre yard, it's all freaking rock. I hate it. I spent 30 grand on a fence last year after buying this house and moving cross country. Then my dumb ass got a german sheperd puppy. Neediest freaking animal ever. When i don't play with him or walk him, he destroys everything in the yard. He's tore siding off my house. He tore out an electrical box that sits out in the yard. He pulls out my blackberry and raspberry plants. He tears out my mini fences around my garden beds and air conditioner. He spulls out my onions and eats my sunflowers. Now I want to fence off a smaller part of the yard for him so he can't get to all my important stuff.
I live in PA and this is exactly my concern. Thanks for posting this video, and hoping everything worked out well for you after this learning experience.
How big is your dog, I have 2 that are about 89lbs and one that is 6lbs. I am trying to find something to put up where my big one will stop attacking the fence between my house and the neighbors, she has slammed her head through the slats and I know my neighbors don't like it.
I was trying to figure out how to replace mine without a helper to move my boat. Never thought to use a car jack! Thanks for that! Now I'm not at a stand-still anymore.
I've had mine up for a week now. I have 15-20 mph winds with higher gusts and the highest wind I have for the last 24 hours is 15.4 w/ an average of 7.8. No way is this right. I have the unit out back and the display in the living room so it's about 50 feet away with a couple walls. I brough it to the inside porch in the back so it's nly 10-12 feet away with 1 wall full of windows and nothing. that wind thing is spinning non stop and it says ave. 2.7??? that's not even a refreshing breeze..... I'm quite disappointed in this unit. oh, plus the darn sun icon is showing 24/7. All day today too and it was cloudy all day and yesterday too! Nnow I have to figure out to reconnect it to the internet so it can upload my data to wunderground. and I can see it on the (very plain boring) app.
instead of screws use stove bolts since your screws are going through. You can drill a hole underneath for the bolt to recess up into the wood so it's not proturding.
howcthe hell do we know about pocket hole screws or were to place them. it seems you pressed them in at an angle. but they wete not long enough to join a damn thing. how the hell to make a table top.
The concrete is a reasonable diy project and very cost effective. I don't have any other ideas that I can think of that won't catch fire or transmit a lot of heat. Goodluck!
