Nice, very slow in many parts particularly the waltz but very controlled and expressively done. Btw, I think the final trill as the original intro theme comes back in is supposed to be a D natural not D#. Just something I noticed! :)
I would absolutely love to hear a play through of the entire concerto without any orchestral accompaniment. You have a wonderful way of playing and emphasising the textures and complexity in this piece.
ncredible, I never heard rachmaninoff's songs so clearly, and with great dynamism as here. Effortless and with an unparalleled lightness. The piano has an incredible sound.
Fantastic! My only comment is that I’m concerned about your right wrist. It doesn’t seem quite supple or relaxed enough, which would make playing faster tricky and could lead to injury. Please be careful!! I loved your playing :)
Eu gostaria de ver o Senhor tocando mais vezes! O seu som é lindo demais, quando puder, poste mais vídeos! Eu e um amigo da Universidade estamos te escutando e estamos Amando...
Thanks for sharing. You play this masterpiece with great understanding of music. Even Rachmaninoff himself played it the similar way you do. It means without any ambition to be the fastest pianist on the planet. There´s no need to add any emotions to this piece, because it contents enough of them anyway. So thank you very much again.
This cadenza is the most intense and impacting piece of music I have ever heard. Listen to Olga Kern play this... SUPER AWSOME. I love how Treker plays it slower so I can see how the hands move. WOW> Great Job! I also figured out by watching Him some great fingering and hand positioning.
I would feel happy to have managed that, let alone address some of the suggestions here! I have the score and its intimidating to say the least. I first played on a baby grand at home aged 4. Seventy years later l dearly wish l could at least play as well as this. Folk should remember that there are very few 'Horowitzes' in this world!
I created a midi file and used Apple Logic with sampled instruments. I have a Music Minus One version here boburschel.com/music.html that I think is much better. I really enjoyed listening to your MMO Rach 2, 2nd Mvmt. You are way ahead of me techincally.
@@ValpoKnightTwister haha wow thanks very much! Yes I figured it was logic. Though I do like the MMO once’s (that’s what I used for my recording of rach 2(ii). ) Can I ask did you see my performance via my comment or had you seen it before?
I remember watching this video back in 2006. Now they released a rare recording of Rachmaninoff playing most of this dance on 1 piano while humming with it loudly to compensate for the orchestra.
Fantastic interpretation and remarkable audio quality. That Steinway has an exceptional tone. It's great to hear this at a more moderate pace than we're used to. I would almost say I prefer this to the 'normal' breakneck tempo most concert pianists play it at. Almost gives me hope that I can play it myself lol.
