This channel focuses on all things homesteading or small farming. I do venture off the beaten path once in awhile and take my viewers on the journey. Explore and learn with me as my family and myself become more self-reliant at living.
Yep! Been using a similar concoction for some years now in the UK - equal parts flour, sugar and baking soda plus a bit of dark chocolate rasped in the mix. Works a treat!
in regards with the mouse traps, my grandfather, years ago, used to use them, after one rat or mouse has been trapped in it he used to clean them up with boiling water, when I've asked him why he told me once it smells like mice or rats or human they won't go near it anymore, maybe this is why they didn't go there again
Im glad that I found this page, I have a whole family of them. Living under a tree in my backyard, they have ripe my yard up. holes everywhere. Thanks for sharing this
Yes. I feel I need to put a chicken on the grill. With the earthquakes to the North and the Wildfires just east of us, this is a period of SHAKE N BAKE.
Well, we are officially in the fire season. I miss the good old days when evil was not on the loose like this. These fires could not possibly be accidental or spontaneous. There are far too many of them. The people that hate this nation are responsible.
Jerry, have you heard about Oregon law now making small market or even home gardeners, including farmers who have a cow or two selling their milk, now must follow commercial operation regulations, driving many out of business. Regards from far north California
Use fresh baking soda. Depending on the size of your colonies, it may take some time to notice a difference. For instance, I had to keep fresh stuff in the attic of my rabbit house for a month before the colony was depleted.
WHAT? PAN HANDELING? WHAT IN blazes are you talking about? I'm so not in line with the current vernacular of cyber speak. Please explain. In the words of JOHNNY 5 from the hit movie SHORT CIRCUIT filmed in Astoria, Oregon NEED MORE INPUT. But, OK, Good bye. Guess it was not for me to read.
Hi there. Derek with EBU News in Geneva, Switzerland. Hope you are well. I am currently working on a story and would really like to include your video. Is this your video? If so, may we have permission to use your video as per news-exchange.ebu.ch/clearance, please?
That's a bummer! I used to visit college friends in that area and help them bring in hay for the winter. I hope the fire is secured quickly and everyone is okay.
So nice that you opened the door for them to walk through. The turkey seemed to appreciate it for the little ones. Guess turkeys too would rather walk sometimes 😅
@@pinemeadowshobbyfarmafruga8319 sir, they are called California Ground Squirrels but they invaded where I live in Reno, Nevada just like the commie people So basically I’m in Reno Nevada NOT IN COMMIEFORNIA…..
It may well be true that baking soda can kill squirrels and rats. BUT the squirrels (or rats) in my area are not touching corn bread mix and baking soda at all. Tried walnut powder and baking soda as well, no squirrel eating it at all. They are eating whole peanuts or sunflower seeds. But it is impossible to mix baking soda into those non-powdered stuff.
The squirrels dug up my flowerbed this year and i also have mice and something digging holes in my backyard. THIS IS PERFECT and inexpensive! thank you
Do you have to have permit license to hunt in your own land? Also can you hunt any animals in your own land any time or do you have to follow the the rule where certain animals you can only hunt during certain season?
