Yes, we paddled that time with standard 9" skegs due to the flooding that week although we usually do the Wye with 5" river skegs. I have a video on my channel on how to make a river skeg if you need to. Thanks for watching.

The possibility of falling on a child is exactly why I have liability insurance to walk around. It's Pedestrian Insurance provided by Bumble & Blunder Assurance Ltd and it's called Oops-a-Daisy Cover. On a serious note :) good tips BTW, I paddle on canals too.

You’re getting “free” insurance because paying for a license to use your own SUP you were taxed to buy with currency you were taxed to make is THAT dumb. Suck on that.

I remember paddling the length of the Wye 30 years ago carrying tents in kayaks and camping along the way. For Symmomds Yat to make it more fun I went down standing up on a blow up lilo. Who knew then paddle boarding would be a thing. Had my first go at SUP this week and hooked. Watching several of your videos today as I live in the East Midlands and interested to see local areas. Thanks for making them.

I did Upton to Tewkesbury yesterday, lovely route. Launched above the bridge at Upton. Instead of landing at Lower Lode, I turned off into the Avon and landed at the slipway at the Lock Picnic Grounds, Tewkesbury. Did you have to pay to park & launch at Upton Marina? I did have a quick paddle around the Marina as I passed it downstream of Upton

Thanks for sharing. How steep was the bank at Bredon to launch from? We tried to get round Tewkesbury weir too but like you couldn’t find a suitable spot to get back in downstream. We portaged over the road bridge instead to get into the Old Avon, didn’t realise we could have used the lock. We did use the lock at Lower Lode though (have a Waterways licence via Canoe Wales membership).

Possibly the most useful video I've watched on RU-vid. Thank you! Thank you especially for not editing out the snaggy bits where it didn't quite line up first time, and showing how to sort that out. I've been putting off repairing the bottom panel of my ititwit because I couldn't find how to safely get it out of the cover. You've made it so clear and shown me how I should have been looking after it in the first place.

Getting the side bladers out and out is not required, unless you've damaged the outer skin, as they can be tricky for some to get back in. Being a kite surfer for many years, I don't wash the kite off after every session as this could cause it to go mouldy, some salt prevents that. Other than that very informative, getting the floor out and cleaning inside is the bast tip. Thank you

Hello. I just bought a 2 person Itiwit just like your video. Why won't my 3 fins in the bottom easily slide into place? I almost need a hammer to get them to slide on and off. What could be wrong?

Firstly make sure they are really clean before you fit them. Any small grit or sand will jam them.

Hi - thanks for your lovely and helpful videos. We are going to be staying at Braunston for a weekend and are bringing our paddleboards. Do you have any recommendations for quiet routes of a few hours close to there? I was a bit alarmed to see the canal at Braunston described at the busiest waterway in the country! Thanks so much if you have any suggestions.
@teawithq3351

Hi. The Oxford canal is one of the busier routes but it's really not crazy busy. Also, if you fancy popping over to Stratford Upon Avon the river is lovely from fisherman's carpark or from Braunston you could head to Napton and back... there are loads of possibilities in the West Mids to be honest.

I was on the Avon today around Warwick, rotten sanitary towells and baby wipes on tree branches at flood levels, not loads but, enough to make you really not want to get wet. Awesome what you say about the cleanliness of the canals, no raw sewerage being released into them when it floods. My preference now. Thank you...
