Cornwall has some of the best water in the UK but surely around Fowey there's some of it's most magical paddles. From the bridge at Pont Pill out of Fowey Harbour and along the coast to Lantic Bay is well worth the walk back up the cliffs and over the hills to get home home again.
Distance - around 4 miles.
Kayak - ITIWIT 100 (2+1)
Safety tips: -
Always check the weather, wind and tides before you start.
Wetsuits - We were sometimes far out at sea, not just by the beach
Buoyancy aids - Again, as above.
Pump - Just in case 1 of the 5 valves became loose.
Food and drinks - plenty of water / a flask
Footwear - Due to jagged rocks on land and under the surface of the water.
Hats - Against the sun.
1st Aid kit
A throwing line
Mobile phone... and a dry sack or 2.

Thanks for sharing this great video. Beautiful area & kayaking. Is that the 2/3 person Decathlon Kayak with a tough outer & three seperate Chambers? If so, how long have you had it & have you reviewed it. It seems very stable & tracks well? Would love to know more. Stunning video 😀

Thanks for watching. I think it was about an hour and a half, maybe 2 hours... and 45 mins to walk back. 😄

Around what was the distance of the trip on water & by foot from the beach back to the car, please? You're both confident kayaker, who've no doubt been kayaking a number of years?

Hi, Yes it's the Itiwit 100 2/3 person. I used to be an instructor years ago but my partner has only been paddling 3 years. We also SUP. Have a look at my other videos on the channel when you get a chance. Thanks for watching.

I forgot to say... the paddle was only around 4 miles with a mile to walk afterwards.

@@teawithq3351 Thank you very much. Do you rate that Kayak? I understand its quite robust & tracks well for the price. On offer at £249 with Decathlon at the moment. Paddles, pump etc extra

@@tman5634 I do. As you'll see from the videos we use it for coastal exploring with caves and barnacle covered rocks. I have complete confidence in it after many trips and there really isn't a mark on it. It takes a while to dry (usually 24hrs) but it's definitely worth it.

@@teawithq3351 Yes it does seem very robust & it seems the only against is the drying out after each usage. The other I'm considering is the Intex Excursion Pro 2person which comes complete with all accessories, but probably not as robust. I only wish I could view both to compare but the Intex is online only & yours not visible to view in my local Decathlon store currently. I do like the idea of the outer fabric of yours, just the drying time & upkeep to consider.
